AALIYAH AND DYLAN have been friends for a while. It was purely platonic, and that's what the both of them loved about the friendship. At least that's what Dylan kept in mind. He was confused about everything at first, until he put that thought aside, thinking it was all in his head.
The girl was introverted up till middle school, where she flourished and became more open; just not too open. She never dared getting too close to someone, except the people she'd known since elementary. She had friends, but these were her best friends. Aaliyah wasn't against making new friends in any sort of way, but in this generation, you never know who you can trust.
So, she kept Valeria, Madelyn, and Dylan close while she kept somewhat of a connection to other people she knew. Everyone knew her, and she knew them, but only those three people know her. Everything started going downhill when she caught herself changing in more than one way, kind of forcing herself to go back to her old ways.
