Chapter-1
A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Hospitals are never a pleasant place for her to be in. Only
two reasons make her come to such places, either she's sick or her pet is. Today the reason is
different.
Pandora sat in the waiting room, with her brown bag carelessly placed behind where she sat. Her
knees tapping fast with a rhythm of their own. Despite the chillness of the surroundings, traces of
sweat can be identified on her forehead.
Her blonde hair with red highlights tied up in a messy bun. Her baby blue eyes stared at a basin.
Several thoughts raced through her mind. Pandora could be classified as one of the pretty ones,
with her full lips that complimented her beautiful face structure. A chill prickled over her skin,
as a patient was rushed into the emergency room. The place was crowded, but she seems to be
absent minded because she could barely make out a single word said by the bypassers. The smell
of disinfectants and other chemicals hung in the air.
A doctor approaches her, the one who was suppose to give-out the test results to her.
She stood up, glancing at her wrist watch. The figures read 5:15 in the evening. After spending 3
hours straight in a "bloody hole" she often refers to hospitals, nothing will suit her fine more than
leaving, just grab her fate and leave.
She barely realized how suddenly her heart beat expeditiously beat. The thought of what
might be in that white envelope was making her get scared. Tensed up in utmost fright and
hopelessness.
Hands by her side, she stared at the doctor. He looked to be in his 30s; his dark colored skin,
with brown eyes, his height towered hers a bit. He smiles wryly. She glanced at his hands, he
was holding it, the result, her fate, her destiny.
"So?" She asked.
"Well, the results are out, here it is," He handed the white envelope to her.
