Prolouge

Luke's POV:
My step-father got a promotion to a better job, so we had to move which sucks because I had to leave my two close lifelong friends but I'm kinda glad because there was this one "friend" I thought I could trust her with anything so I told her I was gay and she doesn't know how to shut her trap...(or her legs) and told the whole school I was picked on and beat up for being different I also had a passion for music by posting videos of me playing on the guitar and singing, I wasn't that famous but I had a couple hundred followers and so I went to the mail box after packing all my boxes. It'll be the last time I check it anyways it won't hurt, I saw an envelope with my name on it i never get mail so it poked my curiosity, I opened the envelope and this is what it said:
Luke Hemmings,
           Hello this is principle Debby to tell you that because of your love for music and beautiful singing we accordingly invite you to attend 'Da Vinci Academy' this academy strives for young performers within the Music, Art, and Sports department, we saw your videos and think you have some talent. We give u a full scholarship and bid that you do not miss this opportunity and join us now....

..........wth!!!!!????? i mean i knew i was kinda good at singing, BUT NOT THAT GOOD!! i look at the address and i noticed that we lived kinda close well I might as well go because its always been my dream to be in the spotlight, it wasn't because I wanted to be "cool" or "popular", I genuinely had a passion for music.

*time leap to a month, because why not*

"Is this the place?" My father asked me while I kept examining the envelope, it took a lot of persuading to get my Mother and Father to let me attend at the Academy. The drive here was roughly a 20 minute drive, the car stopped suddenly and I looked at my father,
"What the hell da-"
I looked forward and kept my mouth open as i see this huge black gate and after that...nothing just a huge body of water
"23716 Kangaroo Sex dr.....yea this is the right place"
Then beside my father a small blue screen popped up. A mysterious voice came out of the box
"Who are you? Do you have any business here?"
My father tried to speak until a scanner scanned us both
"Arthur and Luke Hemmings, ages 42 and 16. Only one student detected"
The voice bellowed again, but more in an annoyed tone
"Ugh fine,"
I heard him yell "Open the gates"
The gates open and a hidden bridge emerges from the water leading forward
"Drive straight ahead drop off your son, you have two minutes to say your goodbyes and then you leave"
"Alright thank you sir" my father said
"Yeah whatever"
We started driving for what seemed like 5 minutes and then we saw it, the Academy looked about a bajillion feet tall and it was HUGE! We saw a bunch of teens playing guitar and singing, some playing soccer and American Football. I was dumbstruck, I'll never fit in here everyone is already friends...ugh I guess I'll just be the lone wolf again.
"Luke, I want you to know that your Mother and I love you and I know if you ever have any troubles call us were here to help you with the most we can"
"Thank dad, I'll make sure to call you often"
I hug him and then leave the car, I watch as he drives away and my eyes sting with tears, get it together Luke, I hold back my tears and turn to face the school
.....this is going to be a long year...
