I stood against the wall, watching my little sister finish her training.
You could hear people cheering her on and motivating her to win.
That just stung. They never do this for me.
I'm just the other daughter. I'm never first on their minds. I'm never the perfect daughter.
As I looked at my parents, you could see how proud they were.
I shook my head and walked to the locker room to get ready.
I wrapped my hands and slipped on my gloves.
There was a mirror to my left, but I dared not look at it.
I walked back out to the ring and sow my sister get out and the EMT guy helping the kid out of the ring.
Nate waved me in and took the mic from Derek.
"Up next is the fight we all waited for. Give it up for Slay Sway and Charl Stone!" Nate shouted out and you could hear people cheering us on.
But when I looked to my parents, they weren't even paying attention that I was up next.
No. They were congratulating my sister for her training win she got.
I felt like screaming at them to look at me. To notice me. To watch me.
But I brushed it off and focused on the girl infront of me.
She was big in size. Stronger then me. Looked like she could skin me alive.
Ding!
The bell went and she started to circle me. So I did the same.
That is when I sow out the corner of my eye, my family walk out the gym.
Derek noticed and ran out after them.
And while I was destracted, the girl landed her fist right on my jaw.
I fell to the ground and tasted blood in my mouth.
I went to stand up but she sat ontop of me and landed punch after punch.
Some hitting me in the face. Some hitting me on the ribs.
I was in so much pain. But not from all the blows. But from my parents just leaving like that.
I let out a loud roar of emotions and lunged at the girl.
I only punched her 4 times before I was pulled out of the ring.
The person that was holding me took me to the locker room and straight to the showers.
They turned the faucet on cold and stepped into the shower with me still in their arms.
They only let go of me when they felt that I was shaking from all the crying.
They got out of the shower and ran straight out the door.
Only to come back with Rick.
Nate and Derek told him what happened before they left the bathroom.
"Hey sweetie. Let's get you out of here." Rick said as he helped me get my wet clothes off.
Rick is gay. And my best friend.
He was always there for me no matter what.
He helped me get my shirt off and my pants. He then took me back to the shower and helped me wash off all the blood.
When that was done, he turned around so I could take off my underwear and finish washing up.
He held up my towel and I took it. Wrapping it loosely around myself.
"Here. Let me help you. Watch out. Slowly. There. Okay now let's get you dressed." He spoke in a soft voice as he held me by the waist.
He took me over to my locker and again turned around but stood close just in case I lost my balance.
I dried off best I could and started to get changed.
"Okay. You can turn around now. I'm done." I hissed in pain as I went to bend down to put my shoes on.
He gave me a sad smile before doing it for me.
My outfit is black jeans, grey t-shirt and black boots.
I let my hair down from the quick bun I made in the shower and just let it dry by itself.
"Let's get you something to eat. What do you think?" He asked as he grabbed my bag for me and held my waist again.
"I could eat." I joked as we walked out of the locker room.
We waved bye to Nick and Derek on our way out the door.
We walked over to Rick's car and he helped me get in.
He was really too good to me.
We drove to the mall in silence. Only doft music playing in the background.
By the time we got to the mall, it was already dark.
"Perfect timing Boo." I joked playfully.
"You know it Bitch." He joked back.
Rick came around to my side and helped me get out of the car.
I thanked him as we made our way into the mall and up to the food court.
We took a seat at an empty table and looked at the menu.
"Hello. My name is Eric and I'll be your waiter for the evening. What can I get for you?" A cute guy said.
He flashed me a polite smile and made googly eyes at Rick. Who was blushing under the gaze of Eric.
"Can I please get a double thick chocolate milkshake and a strawberry milkshake for this one. Ooh and your number please. Also for this one." I spoke up and smiled sweetly at Eric.
He blushed so bad. He giggled as he quickly walked to the kitchen with a happy smile on his face.
"Oh my goodness. Boo? Are you in love or something?" I asked Rick while his eyes followed Eric around.
With that said, he snapped out of it and gave me a shy smile before looking at the menu again.
"Hey man. Isn't that girl over there, the one who went to school with Will?" I heard from behind me.
But I paid no mind to it.
