Prologue

- It's about time

I massage my head a bit, and I shut my eyes, thinking that I have a lot of things to do. Activities that I need to finish within this day, and of course, I shall make orders for crochets.

I'm so exhausted, but I should strive a lot. Kaylangan ko mag aral nang mabuti para sa future ko, at lalong-lalo na ang kumita ng pera.

Kung meron man akong talent na magamit ko para kahit papano magka pera ako pang dagdag sa allowance ko, why not? I know crocheting is hard, but I still love it anyway. My main purpose is to have money; that's it.

"Lee, okay ka lang?" Nami asked me worriedly.

She's my best friend and blockmates; we are both social work students. We've been friends since high school, and we have had a strong bond since then.

I tilt my head a little. "Medyo masakit lang ang ulo ko pero nakainom na naman ako ng gamot kaya mawawala rin 'to agad."

Tapos ang iingay pa ngayon nang ibang blockmates ko. Katatapos lang rin ng klase namin kaya uuwi narin ako ngayon. I mean, kami ni Nami kasi iisang apartment lang naman kami nag sta-stay dalawa.

"Alam niyo ba na may live guesting daw sa isang TV station si Skyler mamaya?" rinig kong saad ng isang kaklase ko.

"Talaga, Messy?"

"Oo, narinig ko lang 'yan kay Barbara kanina. Manonood nga ako mamaya ng live."

"Gaga, bakit ka pa manonood ng live kung pwede mo naman siya masilayan sa personal. Kabilang building lang."

"Ano ka ba we should support him and watch the live show for better ratings."

"Well... you're right. Saka hindi na rin naman 'yan maipagkakaila. It runs in their blood. I've heard that his mother was an anchor before, saka 'yong father niya reporter up until now based in Manila."

Napatingin ako ngayon kay Nami na kunot noo lang habang nakikinig na pinag uusapan ngayon ang pinsan niya about sa guesting nito mamaya.

"Manonood karin mamaya?" tanong ko dito.

Ngumiwi siya. "For what? Ano ako fangirl no'ng pinsan ko?"

"Just asking..." sabi ko nalang.

"Tara na, Lee? Samgyup tayo sa pagkauwi." aya niya sa akin.

I only gave her a nod and stood up. I did clean up my disk before leaving the room. Cheneck ko rin baka kasi may naiwan ako.

"Oo nga pala nag text pala sa akin si Liam ngayon na sasabay daw siya sa atin sa apartment. Pero paano 'yan masakit ulo mo?"
