Eztli's POV
Lewis had left after a while. She had finished packing her stuff and had Matthew book her a flight. She felt so helpless and alone. But she needed to talk to Marco. As she arrived at the pottery place she saw him sitting down with their mugs...
Marco: hey Eztli: hi Marco
There was an awkward pause and they sat down.
Eztli: marco do you still like me? Marco: yes Eztli: you know I'm with Lewis though Marco: yeah I know Eztli: be honest with me... did Lewis cheat on me? Marco exhaled and said "no" . Eztli sighed, deep down she almost hoped he did... she was scared and mortified of moving away from her family that she wanted an out but yet she loved him too much and was willing to suck it up.
Marco: listen I shouldn't have pressured him the way I did to tell you the truth I'm sorry this is all my fault Eztli: no it's not. It's his. He should have told me from the beginning but he decided to be secretive. Marco: I like you a lot Eztli and I wish I could be with you and I do mess with Lewis occasionally to try and make him jealous of our time in Mexico Eztli: you shouldn't be doing that. You shouldn't be telling me this Marco. Marco: why not Eztli? Eztli: because I.. don't know it's all too fast and hard enough and you're confusing me
Marco grabbed Eztli's hand in his, Marco: Eztli if you just give me a chance please Eztli: i can't Marco: why?? Eztli: because I want Lewis Marco let go of her hands, "but look at what he puts you through you deserve better!" Eztli: he is better it's just a hiccup in our relationship...
Eztli didn't believe herself either. She didn't know whether to come back or just stay back home in the US
Marco: Eztli you will never be his priority, he is traveling the world constantly you'll never be together enough Eztli: and you and I will?? Marco: I'm going to take a permanent position in the factory and I won't have to travel as much.. we could stay together in London Eztli got up and grabbed her stuff and headed out the door. Marco followed her and grabbed her hand to stop her.
Eztli: you don't know what you're saying let me go I'm going home Marco: where is home for you?? Not here in Monaco you will never be home Eztli not until her retires and then what? You'll be in Colorado doing whatever the hell he wants Eztli: no that's not how it is how it will be Marco: yes it is. What about you? I can be there for you! We are in the same phase in our lifes we can work Eztli: Marco we can't I love Lewis I can't be with someone who isn't him Marco: thats fine I can be second to him and you'll still be MY priority Eztli: no thats not okay
Eztli had her driver waiting for her, before Marco could say anything else she got in the car and headed back to the apartment. When she entered she saw Lewis sitting in the living room. He looked up at her and motioned for her to sit next to him, she did
Lewis: listen Eztli I promise you I didn't cheat and yes I messed up in not telling you but I just want to be with you so please let's put this behind us Eztli: will I be a priority? Lewis: what.. of course you will Eztli: i will be second to your job won't i? Lewis: ... Eztli: íts fine I understand I always knew I would be but tell me Lewis when you retire will I be done also? Lewis: what are you talking about Eztli? Eztli: where you go i go, what you do I do but when you have lived your life does that mean I should be done living mine also? Lewis: no no of course not. you and I will travel and spend time together, get married have kids Eztli: when? Lewis: when what? Eztli: when will I be a mom? When will you retire? When do I get to live for me with you, not for you? Lewis: you can do whatever you please you don't have to be with me all the time Eztli: you're wrong, because the moment I enter your world then you become my whole world. I will be Lewis Hamiltons gf, partner etc. What is important to you will influence what is important to me. My life will revolve around you. That is what you want. Lewis: no that's not what is going to happen Eztli: listen lewis I'm just gonna go I have a flight to catch and we are getting no where with this conversation... I'll call you when i land
He didn't even stop her. He let her go. Eztli hated him even more for that, how could he just stay there. As she arrived at the airport Marco was there waiting for her, he had a bag with him. She went up to him and asked him what he was doing there. He was going with her for a few days. She smiled. They spent the plane ride talking about his new job and her wanting to move to NYC now that she wasn't going to move in with Lewis. She felt anxious and sad because all she wanted to do was to be in Lewis's arms... he didn't even give it a second thought when she left

Omggg so def not the direction I was going to take with this chapter but I feel like it sort of makes it all so more dramatic like will they won't they. I already know what the ending will be but filling out the little details in between is so fun!!
