The Riddle Chronicles (volume one)

Chapter One

It had been a two month since brith of Davina. Who had bright Blue eyes. Just like her mother. She sleeps through the night and doesn't cry that much. Right now Mattheo was changing her diaper. they were cloth. Which he saw as gross. But Elena wanted her to be like this. She loved the environment and wanted to use cloth diapers. He respected this but was grateful the house elves helped him with it. He had just came back for a break spring break. Not ready to go back.

After finishing up he fixed her onesies and wrapped her in a blanket. Picking up the two month old her went out of her nursery. Tonight his brother would introduce her to his followers. The death eaters. Mattheo wanted to stay out of it. But he knew argument with his brother was like  argument with a whomping willow. Just attacks without reasons.

Mattheo looked down t Davina who was looking at him. "I'm gonna be your favorite unlce. cause I am not as stubborn" he said. Davina smiled at this and then let out a little giggle.Mattheo laughed at this.

This girl was just staring her life, and she already had him wrapped around her finger. Same goes for her other uncle.

Walking into the dining room. All eyes went to him. Tom noticed this and turned around. He gave a little smile. Making sure none of his followers saw him.

"Brother. You are here come" He said. Mattheo started to come over. Tom made his face blank again. Before facing everyone.

Mattheo came up beside Tom and started at everyone. Noticing the Narcissa Malfoy was holding her son. Draco. Who was born on the same day as Davina.

"Now everyone as you know I lost my mother and sister is a tragic house fire a two months ago. Many may think that her child suffered with her. But we were able to save her. I would like you too formally introduce too you" Tom turned around and gently took Davina for Mattheo arms.
He faced forward again and showed everyone her. There were lots of awes and saying she cute.
"That is why I asked Lucius and Narcissa to being there son Draco. See these two were born on the same day. I thought they could be friends growing up." Tom said looking at the Malfoys.
"It would be an honor my lord" Said Lucius. Tom nodded and Bellatrix Lestrange formally Black. Who was also Narcissa's sisters asked "My lord what is her name"

"Her name is Davina" Tom announced. "Now everyone come introduce yourself to her properly. Starting making a line." Tom commanded. The death eaters all lined up.

Each introducing themselves to the baby. Davina answered with random baby sounds and giggles. By the end of the meeting. She had won the heart of every death eater. Lastly the Malfoys stayed behind. Pre Toms request.

"Vina this is Draco" Mattheo said. He had taken her to give Tom arms a break.
Davina looked over at Draco and giggled. Draco did the same.

"Thank you for bringing him. I am sure they will be fast friends." Mattheo said.
The Malfoys and them talked for a few more minutes. Then left. Davina had fallen asleep. Mattheo made his way up to her nursery. Tom following behind him.

Walking in, Mattheo very carefully laid her down. Not before giving her a kiss in the head.
"We need to come up with rules for her." Tom said.
"She's two months old Tom." Mattheo stated.

"I know but the sooner we can come up with them. The sooner we can talk to her about it" Tom said. Mattheo looked at his brother like he had just said something really stupid.
Tried he yawned "I'm going to bed. I have to go back to school tomorrow. I have one month before the summer holiday . Do you think you could watch her." He asked leaving.
"Of course I can." Tom said.

"Ok Good night" Mattheo said leaving for his own room.
"Good night" called Tom turning to see his little brother's retreating form. Tom turned back to Davina.

"Good night little snake" He said giving her a kiss. Then leaving for his own room. Just across the hall.

Mattheo was slapped form his slumber. Waking his up immediately. Looking up he saw a smirking Tom.

"What the hell" He asked angrily.
"It's time for you too get up." Tom said then leaving the room like nothing happened.

Mattheo glared at him but got up and got dressed. Packing the last bit of his trunk. After he closed it. He walked over to check on Davina. Who was getting changed by Tom.

Mattheo walked over too her. She was in Green little romper with a tan shirt under it. (Photo at top)

"Don't you look cute" Mattheo said. Davina smiled at him and giggled. Tom finished up and put her back in her crib. He then began packing a bag for her.

"Are you all packed" asked Tom.

"Yes all ready to go. I'm going to go eat breakfast. " Mattheo said leaving.

Tom simple nodded. He finished packing the bag. Adding a cooling spell to The bottles.
Going to get Davina ready to go. He wrapped her in blankets. He put the bag on one shoulder and then picked her up.

Venturing down the steps. He saw the house elves finished bringing down Mattheo luggage.
"Thank you. You can go rest for a little while" said Tom.

"Thank you master Tom" they all said.

"Mattheo are you almost done" asked Tom. Mattheo was in the kitchen cleaning up his dish.
"Yeah coming" said Mattheo running out. He saw his family waiting for him.

Mattheo got out his wand and did a transfer spell for his luggage. They made there way to the carriage. It was opened by magic and Tom got in. Setting Davina into a baby seat. The carriage took off.

"I'm going to miss you Vina." Mattheo said.

They were at platform 9 and 3/4. Mattheo was saying goodbye to Davina.

"Ok you have to go now."Tom said. Mattheo gave his niece back to him. Saying goodbye to his brother and going to meet up with his friends.

"Was that your nieces." Asked Theodore Nott. Mattheo's best friend.

"Yeah she is. How's your sister." Asked Mattheo.

"She is six months old can't believe it." Theodore answered getting in the train.

Mattheo looked back at his brother. Who had a blank look on his face. Getting into the train as the last whistle blow.
