Alert but amused.
The man standing in his office, chatting on the phone to his colleague had no idea his death was just outside his window, peering inside and smirking. Even if the man wasn't a weak and faithless human, he would still be just as unaware. Just as clueless. Just as much in danger as he was just then. Since the moment he'd been spotted with Kana Yamamoto, the man was a target. There was nothing unknown about him. Nothing secret. No mystery. No plan a surprise.
Despite what the man in the office believed, his evening wouldn't go the way he was hoping for.
It certainly wouldn't have a happy ending.
