Perchance to be
By james a. galgano
The world crept into my tears one day unrefined.
There, where moisture held its course by design.
If heaven had wings to fly beyond all hope and prayer
Within the endless shadows held so deep and rare
Though coven of one speaks so quietly in whispers defined
By the mere simple hope of a love drawn by design
Though tears shed flow freely with every falling memory
Upon broken mirror where each reflection is unable to see
The grimace, which overwhelms most berated brow in time.
There remains an unanswered promise too often profound.
To describe each offer as if a revelation sought yet never found.
There upon, where all hopes defined were never meant to ever be.
Encapsulated within each wharf or waver where true love expectancy.
