Unmasking Truth: The Transfiguration of a Hero

Chapter 1:

It was a normal school day, and Marinette was speed walking to class so as not to be late until she bumped into someone and dropped all of her stuff.

"Agh. Sorry." She says, starting to pick up her things

"It's fine, Marinette." Says Adrien Agreste. "It's my fault I wasn't paying attention."

"No, I bumped into you, sorry." She says flustered.

"Okay, fine. But hey, can I come over after school?"

"Uh, maybe. I think I'm doing something, but we definitely can tomorrow."

"Oh, okay, Marinette. Here's your stuff." Adrien says, giving Marinette her stuff back.

"Thanks." She says, still blushing.

The school day continues, and It's the same as usual. After school, Adrien gets a call from Marinette at about 6:30 pm.

"Hey Marinette. What can I do for you?"

"Hey Adrien, I finished what I was doing. You can come over if you want."

"Oh, okay, Marinette. I'll see you soon."

Adrien walks over to Marinette's house and sends her a message.

"Hey, I'm here." He texted

"Okay. Be right there." Marinette texted back.

After a few minutes of waiting, Adrien sees Marinette running down the stairs and to the door and opens it for him.

"Hi Adrien." She says out of breath.

"Hey Marinette." He says as she opens the door.

"Come inside, Adrien." She says, moving out of the way. "So what do you want to do?"

"I don't know. I just wanted to hang out." He says, walking into the house.

"Well, okay, we can find something to do. Come on, my bedrooms this way." She says, grabbing his hand and pulling him.

As they got to Marinette's room, she asked. "So what did you want to come over for?"

"I wanted to hang out. But hey, can I tell you something."

"Yeah, what?"

"I love you."

As Marinette hears this, she starts to turn red.

"Adrien I-" is all she can get out of her mouth.

As Adrien sees her blush, he also starts to blush.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that." He said, turning away.

Marinette grabs Adrien and starts hugging him as tight as possible.

"I LOVE YOU!" See screams

Adrien starts blushing more as Marinette says that.

"Sorry, sorry. Shouldn't have said it that loud. Or hugged you like that." She says, lessening her grip on Adrien

"I-Its fine."

"Well, if that's the case." She starts hugging him more. "You wouldn't mind if I did this. Right?"

"No." He says, still blushing. "C-can I tell you something else?"

"Yes, anything." She says, still hugging Adrien.

"This might make you hate me, but. I'm transgender." Adrien says, looking away embarrassed.

"Adrien, it's fine. I don't mind." She says. "What should I call you now?"

"I don't know. I never thought anyone would still like me after telling them that."

"Well, I still love you. And I never will stop."

Adrien starts blushing more. "Thank you." Adrien says, starting to tear up before burying his head in Marinette's shoulder. "Thank you." He says crying.

"Adrien, what's wrong?" She asks, scared.

"I'm so happy." Adrien says, still crying in Marinette's shoulder.
