Hey there! I wanted to preface this by giving a few disclaimers about the nature of this comic.
The first of which being that I am not Finnish or Karelian myself. I don't fluently speak either language, and I've never even visited the place (though I would love to do so someday). I'm saying this because I'm not about to pretend to know everything.
I do, however, have a lot of background that is directly connected to the country. Its history and culture is nowhere near a complete unknown to me.
I'm trying to make this as good as possible, so I am open to suggestions or corrections. That being said, I'm still human, I make mistakes, and my chosen format isn't forgiving. I can't go back and edit at all. This is my first time doing something like this and I'm constantly learning as I go, so bear with me on that part.
This has been a passion project I've had in my mind for a long time, and I have so many ideas for this going into the future. Feel free to ask questions about anything.
