Love was magical for me. I couldn’t relate to the people around me who hated love because of a person. My relationship was beyond perfect, if there’s something like that.

I’ve been ignoring my friend’s comment about my relationship.

They didn’t like Yannis, my fiance, just because he looked like a bad boy but truth to be told, he’s just a soft cotton candy for me. Whenever he sees me, he’d melt right in front of me. That’s how much he loves me.

I’m his home and paradise.

And I want to stay like that.

Yet no matter how we take care of a relationship still, there are leeches everywhere.

“That’s Mrs. Rosario. Hindi ba sabi mo siya yung client ng magaling mong fiance ngayon?” Miko, my best friend, pointed at an old woman who came in.

She invited me for a chat and I went out kasi wala naman akong gagawin sa condo. Isa pa, Yannis told me he’d be home late because he had a meeting with his client, Mrs. Rosario.

I didn’t expect what she’s planning, though.

“What are you doing, Miko?” I said, preparing to leave. “Are you trying to test my loyalty with Yannis or are you trying to destroy my relationship with him?”

Miko shook her head and chuckled. “Your relationship’s been destroyed, Tash. Hindi mo lang alam because you’ve been turning blind eye to your fiance’s reasons.”

“I’m not turning blind eye and you know that, Miko. I just trust him.”

“You trust too much.” She sipped on her drink. “Don’t leave and let’s wait for your fiance so you can eat dinner together.”

Before I turned my head, I really wished it was Yannis who’s making his way to the old woman’s table. But sadly, it was just another old man with a case.

“Seems like nandito na ang ka meet up ni Mrs. Rosario.” Miko shrugged. “Was that Yannis, Tash?”

Pumikit ako ng mariin at huminga ng malalim. This is just another day of Miko trying to test my patience. Even when she’s like this, I couldn’t get myself to hate her because I know she’s right… at times.

I texted Miko to not worry kasi uuwi na ako pero ang totoo? I decided to drive to that apartment building that I hated the most. There’s a cafe in the building and I could see my Yannis laughing with a brown haired lady.

Was that Mrs. Rosario? She does look old to me.

I looked at my watch and saw it’s already past midnight.

I’m starving but that’s the last thing I wanted to feel tonight.

I drove fast all the way home. They would still makeout in front of his car before he leaves to come home to me. Been watching that several times to let myself know that this relationship is just a dream.
