My eyes shot open and I immediately feel a terrible pain going through my brain. I place one hand on my head while the other one is trying to help me up so I can look around to see where the fuck I am. The floor is cold and feels a little bit sticky for some reason. I groan, while trying to keep my eyes open and thinking about where the hell I ended up yesterday.

"Finally!" I hear a very familiar saying behind me. And then I remember. Katherine. I slowly stand up from the floor, leaning myself against the bathroom wall - which is where I woke up. I hear a few bones cracking in my neck when I stretch it. God damn it, she must have broke my neck after I saw her standing behind me. And she didn't even try and lay me down on the bed! Nope, I just woke up on the floor between all the laundry. Nice.

In the mean while, Katherine stood up from the bed and walked a little bit closer to me, leaning on one leg with a hand on her hip.

"Now. Why did I need to come, Amanda?" She asks, with a little bit of irritation in her voice. Did she really just say that?

"You gotta be kidding me," I say and push myself away from the wall, walking a little bit towards her. We're only one metre away from each other right now - which is weird to believe since I've been waiting for this moment for so long. Sadly, she doesn't sound that excited. She just sighs.

"Actually, no." Katherine shrugs, "Because if this is just a family reunion then I am not interested."

"W-What... How can you say that?! I've been looking for you for God knows how long!"

My sister looks at me - very intimidating, I might add - but all of a sudden her eyes change and they look soft. Warm. Welcoming. The eyes I know, the ones I remember from my childhood. She walks over to me and takes both of my hands.

"Amandine?" She says softly with that sweet voice of her, sounding just like me - again, reminding me of the childhood we shared togheter.

"Mhm?" Is this a miracle? Finally, everything I've been waiti-BLOODY HELL!

Her arms grabbed my waist in no time and her grip got tighter every second, before I felt this horrible amount of pain going through my chest, going deeper and deeper. I let out a scream of pain, while my body falls into Katherine's arms - leaning my head on her shoulder, since my strength is gone in no time. The stake she stabbed in my chets is rubbing against my vampire heart, making me gasp in her neck out of pain. Katherine pushes it a little deeper - it's almost reaching my back - and then opens her mouth to say something in my ear. It'd probably creep me out if I wouldn't be in this position.

"People change, Amandine. I'm not the girl you think I am anymore."

And with that, she pushes me away from her, which makes me fall on the ground with the dagger still in my chest. The amount of pain that I'm feeling right now is indescribable. One more movement to the left and the stake will go straight through my vampire heart. I gasp for air, while rolling on my back so I can try to get the stake out. Looking up I see the person that I loved so much. As a best friend, a sister, a rolemodel... as my family. What made her like this? Who made her like this? I can still remember how she was back in the old days we spent together in the 1400's, where both of us helped our mother with cooking and cleaning. The woman we both loved so much. Katherine was the person that gave me hope.

"Mother would be so disappointed in you." I manage to bring out - being completely out of breath.

"And that's exactly the point where I. Don't. Care."

That god damn selfish bitch!

"God, I missed Mystic Falls! Think I might crash here for a while." Katherine shrugs, walking towards the door. "Maybe it'll help us to re-build our sister bond." She says in that arrogant voice of hers, with a grin on her face. You have no idea how bad I want to snap her neck.
