"Elliot" my older brother called from downstairs.
"What the heck Addison?" I scream back.
"Someone's here to see you.." He trails off.
No no no, please God no. Don't let it be him please don't let it be him.
"Who is it?" I whisper.
"I think you know who it is already E." He says and with that I feel a new lump form in my throat. This can't be happening, I thought I told him not to ever talk to me again. I thought I was clear. I thought he understood that I never wanted to see him again, he couldn't put me back together.
He always thought of me as a puzzle that needed solving but I wasn't. I was a mess, and he couldn't put all my broken pieces back together. I couldn't let my cold past affect his bright future. I couldn't. I just couldn't.
