Buck's POV

I helped Kacey with Jack as Eddie continued to work. I got to work that morning and saw that Eddie's truck was there, and Kacey's car was there too separately. I walked into and saw them screaming at each other in front of everyone. Ana was standing by Eddie with Chris. Kacey slapped Eddie across the face.

"You asshole!!! I thought we had something, Eddie!! I can't believe I trusted you...again!!" Kacey yelled, walking away.

I watched as Eddie watched her walk away. Ana put her hand on his shoulder as he shrugged it off. Chris started following Kacey slowly.

"No, Chris, don't, buddy." I said, walking up to them and putting my hand on his shoulder.

"But Bucky, Kacey is sad. I gotta help." Chris said, looking me in the eyes.

I nodded understandingly and followed after my sister. I walked into the bunk room and saw her crying on her bunk. I walked over to her and sat next to her, rubbing her back to help her calm down.

"Sis, you shouldn't be here." I said.

"I needed to talk to him. He's been ignoring the house. He never comes home." She said between sobs.

"Sis, you have to go home." I said, trying to help her.

I helped Kacey back to her car, ignoring Eddie on the way out. I watched as Kacey drove away without a word.

3rd person's POV

Kacey got home and started packing her and Jack's things. All Kacey could do that she knew was to run. So that's what she did. Kacey picked up Jack from school and started to drive to Texas.

Eddie watched as Kacey left work sobbing. He knew what he had done. He'd been ignoring the house. He never came to the house anymore. Eddie had threatened Jack that if he had told anyone about his side relationship. Anger grew inside of Eddie as he walked back inside, pushing past Buck. He started throwing punches at the bag. Eddie broke up with Ana right there in front of Chris.

the next few days pass

Kacey is sitting in Carlos and TK's living room on their couch as she turns on the California News, seeing her brother on the screen. Buck was on a scene helping a woman out of her crash car. The camera panes to another person who is being helped by Hen. Kacey watches to look for Eddie, but he is nowhere to be seen. It was like Eddie had disappeared. From the day Kacey left, Eddie realized his mistake and was doing everything in his power to find her. Jack had told Kacey and Carlos about what Eddie had told him. Kacey was furious. She hoped to see Eddie again to furiously yell, scream, and punch him for what he said to her baby. Kacey cared so much about Jack. Carlos knew that if Kacey saw Eddie, she would just go running back to him like she always did, but this time. Kacey wasn't going back even if Eddie found her. She didn't want to give him a second chance, not for what he had done to her. She trusted him with all her heart. He lived with her. He had met her family, who chose her for herself. They had accepted him to care for her and her kid, but he betrayed their trust. Carlos and TK had taken Kacey and Jack into their home. Carlos always kept his promises, and his promise to Buck was to keep his sister and nephew safe.

As time passed, Jack started school in Texas, and Kacey helped around the firehouse as much as she could. Eddie continued his search, asking Bobby if she'd been employed at a new firehouse, but no records popped up. He tried to get anything out of Buck, but Buck said nothing. He had even called Judd and TK down in Texas, but they lied to him cause they were keeping her safe. Kacey started having morning sickness due to the pregnancy. As Kacey worked at the firehouse, she missed her family with the 118, but she was better with the 126. Everyone was watching her back. They all made sure she was okay.
