"Okay, are you ready?" Margot said fixing Claire's Clothes.
"Don't be nervous okay." She added nervously going through Claire's face, making sure she doesn't go to her new School looking all dirty."I'm not nervous Mom, You are." Claire said smiling softly at her Mother.
Margot takes a deep breath, and stares proudly at her Daughter. She holds Claire's shoulders and smiles at her.
"I'm proud of you Claire." Margot said looking at her for a moment.
Claire nodded at her mother.
"I'll be going now, I don't wanna be late." She addressed."You're Right." Margot said slowly pushing Claire outside.
Claire then puts a quick kiss on her mother's cheek and gets on her bicycle. She swung her bag around her shoulder and stepped on the pedal, and started driving off.
"Take care Claire!" Her mother yelled behind her. "And make at least a few friends!"
Claire smiled and rolled her eyes at the last sentence.
She was now riding to Voltaire High, which she was going to attend after leaving an All girls school.
A friend of her Mother, was complaining about the School her Son was going to, and how his grades are going to be affected because it's now a School for Boys and Girls.Claire was thinking about how the new school was going to be and if her unsocial personality could actually make friends. She wasn't completely focusing on driving, and accidentally drove into someone.
She snapped out of her thoughts and immediately got off her bicycle. Claire then kneeled to the Male who was now sitting on the cold street floor.
"I'm so sorry-" She said quietly, trying to help him up.
"Do you have something on your eyes Woman?" The young brown haired Boy that seemed to be in her age complained.
Claire looked at him slightly shocked, and pursed her lips.
The boy then fumbled around the floor to find his glasses. He got up and placed them to their original spot.
"Absolute waste of time gosh." He said and angrily walked off, to the direction Claire was about to go.
"What a Baby." Claire mumbled to herself, watching him walk away.
She got back on her bicycle and drove past the boy she just crashed in.
As she arrived at the School and placed a lock on her bicycle, she walked through the Gates seeing a few girls that were also attending the school today for the first time.
A Blonde girl with an dark blue dress and a matching headband was walking in front of Claire, and was getting a lot of whistling from the Boys.
Claire was continuing her way to the building, but saw the boy she drove into standing nearby with a group of other boys.
She tried walking past him as quick as possible."Oh, if it isn't Mademoiselle can't drive!" He yelled, making his friends laugh.
Claire walked even faster into the building, and kept her head down.
Again she bumped into someone, hoping it wasn't a Boy.She looked at the floor to see a tall boy, with messy dark brown hair. His eyes matched the color of his hair, and he had a few freckles over his face.
Claire groaned at the boy.
"Calm down Mademoiselle, you could help me up instead." He said jokingly.
She then lipped her lips and held her hand out to the boy.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what the matter with me is today." Claire said.
He then stood up and stuck his hand out and smiled at her. "Louis Auclair." He said not letting go of her hand.
Claire looked down at her hand that he was now shaking. She raised a brow and stayed silent in confusion.
"Sorry I didn't quite catch your name?" He said smiling down at her.
She was about to walk right past him, but reminded herself of what her mother has told her before leaving.
"Claire Monet." She gave in and shook his hand.
"You know what class you are in?" He asked placing a cigarette behind his ear.
"No." She responded.
"Good, I'll show you." He said.
Louis started walking and Claire afterwards started walking behind him.
He slowed his pace down and so he could walk beside her."Smoking could kill you know?" She interrupted the silence between them and gripped the belt of her shoulder bag tighter.
Louis looked at her smirking. He then stuck the cigarette between his fingers.
"Claire Monet, they don't actually hurt you until you light them." He said.
"Hmm?" She hummed and raised a brown.
"I never lit one. It's a Metaphor, see?" Louis said putting the tip of the cigarette between his lips. "You put the thing that does the killing right between your teeth..." He said looking down at Claire. "but you never give it the power to kill you." He added.
Claire looked at him with an interest face.
"That's actually really-" She got cut off by someone walking past her bumping her Shoulder.
"Ohh Mademoiselle Can't drive and the Weird kid. No wonder you guys are hanging together." The boy Claire crushed in joked, and walked away.
Claire turned to look at Louis. "What is with him? I already apologized." She said.
"Joseph Descamps. That's not going to be the last time he would try to make your life a living hell." Louis said and watched him walk away.
"Oh yeah that's great to know." Claire said sarcastically and continued to walk to the list of her classes.
