CHAPTER 16

HIM

"W-why did you–"

"I did say I was going to continue to kiss you when you're somber... and I'm a man who keeps his word."

"Ha?"

"Peach, nakalimutan mo ba na gusto mo ako halikan kagabi?" I asked, acting hurt.

"Jun!"

"Yes?" Malambing ko na sabi, smiling a bit. Bigla niya naman ako hinampas, causing me to chuckle, "You really love hitting me huh, sabagay natamaan mo nga ang puso ko." I gave her a wink, and in the end... hinampas niya nanaman ako.

"Seriously Jun..."

"I'm just trying to make you laugh, Peach."

Tumahimik naman siya bigla, at umiwas ng tingin...

"Can I kiss you again?" I said, trying to break the awkward silence.

"Wala ka talagang hiya noh?"

"Well, you can say that you bring out the boldness in me... literally and figuratively." She rolled her eyes, and I heard her sigh. I can't help but stare at her, "So... is... that a yes?"

Wala pa rin siya sinasabi, ok... silence means yes...

I leaned in slowly, and observed if Peach had any drawback with what I was about to do, the next thing I knew, when my lips touched hers, she was kissing me back again.

My lips formed a smile as we continued to kiss, "Gusto mo nga ako..." I said in between, she then slapped my shoulders, causing me to shake my head, chuckling.

"You said–" Hindi ko siya pinatapos, and I kissed her again, holding onto her waist, pulling her closer to mine.

I don't know how long this lasted, hindi ko namalayan lumalakad na kami sa loob ng kwarto niya, and my hands having the mind of their own, was now trying to take off her shorts.

I suddenly heard my phone ring, making me groan... I wanted to ignore it but as it rang again the second time, disturbing what I was doing, sinabi ni Shannen na sugutin ko nalang kasi baka importante.

I sighed, and got off her, checking the caller ID, and my eyes widened when it was Elias calling.

Shit... I'm in big trouble.

"I can explain–" I immediately said as I got inside the unit.

"Jun, I swear to god if you don't message me back within less than an hour, or let me know that you'll be late or won't be sleeping here, I'll kick you and we won't speak for a week."

"A week lang?"

"Jun."

"I'm joking Dude, and yeah, I promise, sorry for making you worried. I was just... distracted."

"... nothing bad, I hope."

"No, it's not... don't worry Dude, and thank you as always."

"The guys are waiting for us, they're at the mall already, our usual spot."

"Oh, ok..."

Nag ayos na kami, and before we left, nilinis namin muna bowl ni Elias Jr. and placed new food at his auto feeder. I got my cap and we were on our way to the mall...

As we arrived, nakita namin agad sila, we walked towards them, and finally sat down, and greeted them. May snacks na rin naman sila na bili, kaya nagkuha ako ng isang potato chips.

We all were catching up on the things we missed, asking how our week was and stuff... As they kept on talking, my mind was somehow distracted and I don't know why, I kept on looking at my phone, when my hands were starting to type a message.
