"She can go inside alone, Liam." Lexis said, and I rolled my eyes at her dahil napaka pakealamera niya.

Liam was insisting to go with me inside the mansion to make sure I was safe and sound but neither of either me and Lexis agreed.

Kasi bakit nya pa ako ihahatid sa loob? As if naman may monster doon na lalamunin ako nang buhay. I mean, meron naman but at least not a literal one.

I already gathered my things and went out of the car.

But not long after, Liam followed while Lexis called his name to go back.

"Why are you here? I am fine. Leave." I said-not looking at him as I opened the door of the mansion.

"Are you okay?" He asked-worry was still evident in his voice.

I huffed a breath in annoyance because I didn't know na makulit din pala sya dahil hindi halata sa mukha nya.

"I am okay. I don't need you here. Go back because your girlfriend is waiting." I pushed his chest to close the door between us. But before it was even totally closed, he pushed it slowly by placing his hand just above my head—completely towering over me that his shadow made everything dark.

"Lea-" I wasn't able to finish my word because I flinched when he caressed my hair.

I stared up to him until it became a glare and my blood started to boil
because who gave him permission to touch me?

"Don't you hear me? I said leave." I said madly but still trying not to shout.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, and took steps backward to give me space.

What I did instantly reflected, and just like always, I feel bad. I wanted to punch myself in the face so hard. Being a people pleaser sucks so bad.

I sighed—trying to make my voice calmer. "I'm not mad. Just leave dahil gusto ko nang magpahinga." I bit my tongue and I wanted to cut it off because I clearly know that I was mad pero sinabi kong hindi para hindi ako maguilty at para hindi nya isipin na may ginawa syang mali.

He merely nodded his head and then he turned away without any more words at hindi ko alam kung giniguilt trip nya ba ako dahil sobra ang nararamdaman kong guilt ngayon.

Binubuhos ko sa kanya lahat 'yong mga kabadtripan ko ngayong araw kahit na hindi nya naman kasalanan.

I watched him go away with guilt gushing through my veins at alam kong hindi ako nun papatulugin mamaya pero wala na akong magagawa kaya tumalikod nalang ako para magpahinga.

But as soon as I turned my body to walk to my room, I was instantly stopped at agad kong napagtanto na hindi rin pala ako makakapag pahinga ngayon.

"Where did you go?" My mother asked. She was seated on the sofa with a glass of wine in her hand.

I cleared my throat to normalize my voice and to make sure that it would not tremble. "Saan pa? Edi sa school." I proceeded to leave-scared that she might find out where I was.

"Like father, like daughter." She said, and I felt her standing up. "You ditched classes. Saan ka pumunta?"

I stopped walking and the trembling I was stopping became visible, because how did she find out?

"Gaia saw you. You were with some... girls. New friends? New set of people that will soon ruin you just like before?" She tilted her head-a mocking smile was plastered on her lips.
