Chapter 16

I messaged Keisha to pick me up because there's no freaking way that I'll go to school with Liam.

After he kissed me yesterday, I slapped him because I realized that when I kissed him, I was drunk, and when he kissed me, he was not—he was fully conscious and aware of his action. At isa pa, sinabi niya na gusto niya si Lexis tapos hahalikan niya ako? Anong ibig sabihin nun? Ginugulo niya talaga ang utak ko.

Buti nalang, Keisha seemed to be okay already, or at least that was what she was trying to show us.

I just messaged her a single "pick me up" and she already bombarded me with a lot of replies and pink emojis. I also told her that I don't wanna go over the wall again so they should see me right in front of the mansion. Nasabihan ko na din naman na 'yong  guard na papasukin sila dahil wala na akong pakealam kung umabot kay mommy na may mga bago akong kaibigan.

I sighed. I already refer to them as my friends because I think it was unfair that they call me their friend and I didn't.

When I heard Mika's car outside, I immediately left the mansion to greet them.

And of course, the first one that greeted me was Keisha, and I smiled because she was smiling too. "Sandyyy!!!!" Half of her body was outside the window while Loreen was grabbing her dress so she wouldn't fall over.

"Hi," I said when I went inside.

"Did you get in trouble?" Loreen took me back with her question. "Sinisi ka ba ni Liam?" She followed up when my forehead creased.

I avoided her eyes. "H-How did you know?"

She shook her head with a smile of disbelief in her lips. "Wren saw him and... Lexis." She said her name like a poison. "Not long after we left the cafeteria, Liam arrived and saw...that girl." She rolled her eyes. "I don't wanna say her name." She grunted. "And as from what Wren told me, Liam was the one who took her to the hospital because she was bleeding. And as I expected, nag imbento nanaman ng kwento 'yong babaeng 'yon para baliktarin 'yong nangyari. I mean, not totally imbento because it was true that Mika slapped her with a food tray but I'm assuming that she told Liam we ambushed her or something."

That was exactly what Liam told me.

"How did Liam meet her?" I asked out of the blue dahil curious na curious na talaga ako kung ano ba talaga sila at kung gaano kalalim ang pinagsamahan nila.

"Answer me first. How do you know him?" Loreen narrowed her eyes.

I sighed and told them how I know the man because I'm sure that she won't tell me what I wanted to know if she couldn't get anything in return.

"That's cute." Keisha commented.

Loreen adjusted her self to the seat—preparing herself to tell me what I wanted to know so I stared intently at her. "Their friendship started when they were in grade school when something happened." She started and I listened carefully. "I will not tell you things in detail because I don't like you to know everything from me." I nodded, then she sighed. "They are really close to each other at walang nakakalapit kay Liam kaya wala siyang mga kaibigan maliban sa babaeng 'yon not until you showed up. Actually, before you came here, she spread a rumor that they were dating." She laughed and shook her head. "Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi itinanggi ni Liam. However, according to my nosy boyfriend, he was trying to heal something. Maybe that girl's trauma? Because she is really living a messed up life?"

Ang haba-haba ng sinabi ni Loreen pero wala akong naintindihan. What does she mean about the something happened? and... heal something? I shook my head because kung ano man 'yon ay hindi responsibilidad ni Liam.
