I took a deep breath before knocking on the window of his car. I was about to do a second knock but I already heard a click so instead, I opened the door and silently went in because Liam didn't talk and wasn't moving while his forehead was resting on the steering wheel.
I tried staying silent even just for a little while but my mouth couldn't do it so I sighed and finally spoke. "Liam," I whispered his name but he still didn't move even an inch so I called him again.
Nakailang tawag na ako sa pangalan niya pero wala siyang balak na kibuin ako kaya inilabas ko na ang huling baraha.
"Nobita." I softly whispered.
"Don't call me that." Finally, he spoke but it sounded grumpy.
"Are you mad at me?" I lowered my head to peek at him.
"Yes." He tilted his face to my side so I could see him now, and I fixed his glasses because they were lopsided. "Don't do that." He gently brushed my hands away and backed out.
"Y-Your knuckles." I mumbled when I saw that they were red and full of scratches. It wasn't bleeding but that doesn't make me care less.
He took
his gaze away from me to hide his hands behind like a little kid na nagtatampo."Let me see, Liam." I scooted closer to him to search for his hands behind his back.
"Move away, Sandra." He moved back even further.
"Liam, don't be makulit. Let me see." Mas lumapit pa ako sa kanya na halos nakayakap na ako sa katawan niya para lang makuha 'yong kamay niya na pilit niyang tinatago.
"You don't need to see." He caught my hands that were behind his back.
"Ano ba, Nobita. Sabing pati-- ah." I winced and pulled my hands back because of the sudden pain I felt. I encircled my right hand to my wrist to the other hand where the bruise was.
"Did I...did I hurt you?" He panicked. I could see that he wanted to hold me but he was stopping himself because he was scared that I might get hurt.
I shook my head. "H-Hindi mo naman sinasadya." I moved back to my seat.
He accidentally gripped on my wrist when he was stopping me from seeing his knuckles but it wasn't his fault dahil hindi niya naman nakita at kung hindi sana ako nag pumilit na makita ay hindi ako masasaktan.
"Sandra, let me see." He said, and leaned closer to me kaya ngayon ay ako naman ang umiiwas sa kamay niya.
"It's okay now, Liam." I hid my wrist behind my back just like what he did with his hands earlier and bit my lower lip because it wasn't okay. The bruise was getting bigger and darker.
He sighed. "Patingin na ako." He calmly said.
"Okay na nga di--"
"Chuchay." He said my childhood nickname firmly, and smiled when he caught my attention.
I grimaced as I gasped. Feeling ko ay nagsitayuan lahat ng mga balahibo ko sa katawan at gusto kong sumuka.
"Kadiri!" I hit his chest but that was so stupid because I used my injured hand kaya napangiwi ulit ako sa sakit, pero bago ko pa man ulit matago 'yon sa likuran ko ay nahuli niya na.
His jaw clenched when he saw the bruise. "That bastard." He murmured.
I took a deep breath. "Can I see your knuckles now? To be fair?" I looked down at my wrist and back up to him.
He sighed but gave me what I wanted.
"You punched Jake with this." I pouted as I held his hand.
"Because he's an asshole." His brows furrowed in annoyance.
