Chapter 37

"Pat!" I called Patty when I saw her get out of the car. She was still wearing her school uniform, and when she saw me, she sprinted to greet me.

"Ate!" She hugged me.

"Is your brother here?" I asked-looking around to find him.

Patty pouted and shook her head-clueless, at doon na ako sobrang kinabahan dahil wala namang ibang pupuntahan si Liam maliban sa University, condo, at sa mansion nila.

I walked away from his sister to call his phone for the ninth time.

"Please, Liam." I whispered-heart was already beating so fast from anxiety and nervousness.

Ayaw kong mag isip ng masama pero sunod-sunod ang pumapasok sa utak ko kagaya nung nalaman ko 'yong nangyari kay daddy.

I shook my head repeatedly. No, hindi pwede. He can't leave me like my dad.

Patty was so confused but I didn't have time to explain and I shouldn't say anything because there's nothing to say.

He is safe and just somewhere.

Siguro lowbat lang ang phone niya kaya hindi niya masagot 'yong mga tawag ko.

I looked around pero ni anino niya ay hindi ko makita kaya tumakbo ako sa loob ng mansion para doon siya hanapin. Their house helpers looked at me like I was some weird girl who was trespassing their home but I ignored them. I ran up to the second floor and opened each door I saw-hoping that I would see him but I didn't, until I just collapsed on the floor with tears flowing down my face.

I stayed there for hours-waiting like an idiot but I didn't care because he might suddenly show and tell me that he was okay. But almost four hours had already passed and there was still no sign of him kaya I already decided to go home and wait for him there dahil baka nasa mansion namin siya at hinihintay na ako. Baka doon siya dumiretso imbes na sa condo or sa mansion nila.

My home is his home too.

I stayed overnight outside the mansion waiting for him until the sun rose but still, no Liam.

I was already shaking and on the verge of crying again because of the thoughts that were running inside my head but I shouldn't let it take over me so I wiped the escaped tear.

I chose to be silent until my body jumped from my seat because my phone rang, and I quickly picked it up because I thought it was him.

"Tita Ica?" I asked over the phone.

"Hija, is Liam with you? Hindi pa siya umuuwi. He's not also in his condo at hindi ko rin siya matawagan." I heard worry on her soft voice.

The fear inside me grew bigger and bigger until I didn't notice that I dropped my phone due to too much trembling.

Everything seemed to be moving around in a fast pace kaya nahihilo ako but I needed to gather myself together to meet his mother dahil kailangan namin siyang mahanap.

Tita Ica also looked so stressed and worried when I saw her at the police station because we already decided to report him as a missing person dahil hindi ugali ni Liam ang hindi magpaalam kaya lahat kami ay sobrang nag aalala na.

Even Lexis and mom came to the police station when they heard what was happening.

Lexis was pacing back and forth with her phone against her ear but just like us, she couldn't reach him.

"Ikaw ang kasama niya before siya mawala! Paanong hindi mo alam kung nasaan siya!?" She yelled-pointing her finger at me, and burst into tears.

I bowed my head down because I didn't want a fight. Masyado ng stressfull ang nangyayari at ayaw ko ng dagdagan.
