"I will tell you again, Lewis. Keep your mouth shut." Kia firmly whispered as he gripped my shoulder.
I nodded over and over until his hold loosened, and we went down the stairs of the jet together but I got stoned when I heard someone speak.
"Magandang gabi, sir, mam."
The language echoed inside my head.
W-We're in the Philippines...
"What the fuck are you doing? Get down." He annoyingly said so I nodded again and rushed my way down.
Hinila niya ako nang makalapit at nag lakad nang mabilis kaya halos tumakbo na ako para hindi siya mainis sa bagal.
My heart was pounding out of my rib cage because of so much anxiety.
We're in the Philippines and I don't know how much has changed.
I don't even know where in the Philippines we are because I wasn't familiar with the road we were taking or if ever I knew, I must've already forgotten because it's been six years...hindi ko na alam kung anong itsura ng Liathro.
The car slowed down until it fully stopped and we went out. We were on a beach and there was a yacht so I guess that's where the event was being held.
I didn't even know what kind of event it was but when we got in, I saw different unfamiliar faces but was so sure that they're the elites. Maybe politicians and owners of big companies around the world because they were dressed in such elegant and beautiful clothes with expensive jewelry all over their bodies.
It was my first time again to attend an event so I was kinda excited but I should not show it and limit my interactions with people because I know that Kian wasn't lying when he said that he would kill me if I didn't keep my mouth shut.
A lot of people welcomed us and I smiled at them because Kian's grip on my arm was getting tight and painful.
"Mr. and Mrs. Lee!" A middle aged woman approached.
I smiled at her to stop myself from rolling my eyes and throwing up because of the way she acknowledged us.
"What a pleasant evening to have the both of you here!" She smiled even more.
Kian chuckled. "You look beautiful tonight, Mrs. Stein."
The woman giggled. "I'm married, Mr. Lee." She humored and suddenly looked at me so I forced a laugh. "You've been married for years. Am I right? So are we expecting an heir?" She laughed a little.
A sudden pain inside my heart sent my eyes to look away-in the dark ocean.
There was nothing to expect because they killed it.
They killed my child.
"Excuse us, Mrs. Stein." Kian smiled at the woman apologetically before dragging me away.
I let him drag me with my mind floating. He was telling me something but I couldn't hear nor understand it because the voices inside my head were overpowering.
He left me with his bodyguards.
I sat on a chair far away from the other people and whispered words to myself that even I couldn't understand.
The people around were looking at me and they must be thinking that I was crazy so I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to calm myself because if it reached Kian, siguradong uuwi kami ng maaga para ibaon ako sa lupa.
When I finally calmed down, I opened my eyes and smiled at the people kahit na hindi ko sila kilala dahil ayaw kong mamatay ngayong gabi.
The night was getting deeper and deeper but I remained seated. I just watched them have fun and drink expensive liquor. Some talked to me but I wasn't engaging in the conversation so they eventually just excused themselves and left.
