52 : real boyfriend

Sunhee plays with her fingers under the table while waiting for Jungwon. The boy didn't say anything yet but she know it's something serious. Almost ten minutes their sitting at the soju stall but none of them talking.

The night breeze hit her bare legs caused her to shiver a bit. She tried to shrug it off but Jungwon noticed her reaction so he take off his coat and handed it to her. Sunhee was confused, tilted her head.

“Here, take this and cover your legs. Don't mind about me.” he said with a flushed cheeks, caused by the soju he chugged.

“Thank you,” she covered her legs with his coat, heart slightly skipped a beat by his actions, “what do you want to discuss, Mr Yang?”

Jungwon just realised his real reason meeting her after work. He has thinking a lot about his personal problem and Jaeyun was right. He needs to find at least a girlfriend at the moment.

He poured the soju into half of the glass and chugged it down. Sunhee was surprised by looking at his expression now. He looks a little bit fragile but managed to hide it.

“I need to ask you something. Perhaps, do you have a boyfriend at the moment?” his question hits her because it's her second times hearing the same question.

Sunhee shook her head, “I never have a boyfriend, Mr Yang. Why did you ask me about this?” Jungwon scoffed, playing with the soju glass, “if you don't have one why did you tell the cashier you do have one?”

Stunned. She freeze there, hands started to sweating due to Jungwon's cold voice. She just agree so it won't be that awkward for to buy a special set. Sunhee cleared her throat, fixing her hair.

“I... I'm just saying that so I won't look weird buying a special set because most couple bought it. Actually, I bought it as an apology for spilling the coffee on you shirt, Mr Yang.” she explained.

Jungwon crossed his arms, “If you bought special set because of me then I'm your boyfriend, right?” he asked again and she was flabbergasted.

Sunhee doesn't know how she look right now. Blushing cheeks, trembling lips, looking directly into Jungwon's eyes. She looks mesmerizing, especially those trembled lips asking for a long deep kiss.

Nevertheless, Jungwon quickly look away from her innocent expression. The alcohol started to kick in but he still can manage his right mind now. He cleared his throat before he speaks again.

“Mr Yang—”

“Let's make it happens,”

“What it is?”

“Let me be your real boyfriend, Sunhee.”

“Excuse me?”

Hyejin put a mug in front of Jaeyun. They need to cancel their dinner because suddenly, one of the investor wanted to meet Jaeyun tomorrow so he needs to do some preparation.

She knows, Jaeyun feel bad for cancelling their dinner but she didn't mind at all. She understands his struggle with some project so she doesn't say anything and just agree. Thinking about that, Hyejin decided to help a bit.

“Thank you, darling. I'm so sorry for cancelling our dinner. I will register another dinner for us.” Jaeyun hold her hand, caressed it softly with a little smile.

Hyejin cupped his face, “it's fine Jaeyun we can have dinner here. Do you mind if I use your kitchen?” Jaeyun softly nodded and that's make Hyejin smile.

She went to the kitchen and prepare a bowl of bolognese spaghetti in two people serve. She's making sure there's no mistake in her food so Jaeyun's mood won't be ruined. She sighed in relieved when the taste isn't that bad.

Give all of her attention to the spaghetti, she didn't realised that Jaeyun already in the kitchen watching her cooking. Realized that Hyejin didn't alerts with her environment, he decided to give her a hug from the back.

“Darling—” his word stopped when she flinched and almost hit him with the soup ladle. Hyejin look at her shoulder where Jaeyun rested his chin on, “Sim Jaeyun!” he chuckled.

“You are scaring me to dead! I almost think about a ghost! Don't do that again, Jaeyun!” she hits Jaeyun's shoulder while calming herself. Jaeyun rubbed her back while whispered, “sorry, you were so focused with the spaghetti.”

Hyejin pouted, “the spaghetti is almost done, go and take a sit.” Jaeyun didn't listen to her and he hugged her from behind, rested his chin again with his lips right next to her ear—slightly brushed against it.

“Let me hug you for a few minutes.” he said, enjoying her perfume smell combined with her shampoo scent. Jaeyun can't help but leave a few kisses on her shoulder and up to her neck.

She let him do whatever he wanted. Kissed her shoulders, rubbed his nose against the back of her ears, buried his face in the crook of her neck. Mention it, he keeps repeating the same things. Hyejin coughed, “are you sure it's just a few minutes, Mr Jake?”

“No, screw that few minutes. I can't control myself when you around and now you're in my arms. Do you expect me to be a good boy, hmm?” his question sounds like he's needy but the truth is he's just in his clingy mood.

Softly yanked his hands from her waist, Hyejin quickly serve the spaghetti as she could sense Jaeyun hands around her waistline. She stopped him first and said, “eat first, you have a lot of job to do.”

“But, baby—” she peck him just to distract him and she succeed.

They end up having the dinner together. Jaeyun's penthouse is really quiet since his mom and Hana stay at his family's house. Being the clingy boyfriend he is, there is no moment where Hyejin can eat in peace.

Jaeyun always reached her hand and interwines their hands together. The more she pulled, the stronger his grip get. Until Hyejin give up and let him hold her hand.

After dinner, Jaeyun helped her cleaning the dining table and kitchen. Right now, Hyejin is doing the dishes while humming a song, doesn't mind if Jaeyun want to continue his work but that thought hone when he hugged her again.

“Yes, Jaeyun?”

“Stay here tonight?”

“Alright, my Jaeyun!”
