Chapter 1|The Train

Lily PoV:
I walked on to platform 9 3/4. I sighed. 'This is it' I thought 'my final year at Hogwarts' I took one step more and was immediately nocked back "sorry" someone shouted 'ugh Sirius' I thought. I took another step again nocked over "sorry" someone said but instead of running away they helped me up, "hey Remus" I said Remus was the only one of Potters possy that was more than half decent, he was a prefect, did his homework, never played pranks and most of all was kind. I smiled at him "why where you chasing Sirius?" I questioned
"He stole my prefect badge"
"Oh" I said I thought Remus would be head boy this year he looked at me then saw my badge his eyes widened and then he quickly said "Igootagogetmybadge" than ran off, I shrugged it off because he did need to get his badge and made my way over to the train.
I walked along the train until I found my friends in a carriage I slide open the door "hi guys" I said
"Hey Lily" I got three replied but only one was looking at me the other two where giggling "what's so funny Melanie, Katherine?" Melanie stooped immediately "n-nothing Lily I swear"
"Sure... Anyway I gotta go to the head and prefect carriage"
"Ok bye!" They all replied .

James' PoV:
I walked into our carriage. "Where's Moony, Padfoot?" I asked Sirius "I think he's gone to the prefect carriage and thinking about it so should you"
"Fine" I said I was about to walk out the door when Remus came in "hey guys I'm just dropping of my bags then going to the loo I'll see you at the meeting prongs" Remus said then rushed out again I shrugged at Sirius and walked out the door.

Lily's PoV:
I was in the prefect compartment shuffling my notes and things when the door creaked open my eyes darted up and I dropped my notes onto the floor, there is the door frame was James potter with that stupid grin on his face as soon as he saw me though his smile left his face, he stared at me for a bit then cleared his throat
"So your head girl" I nodded wondering why this was needed I was still thinking why on EARTH dumbledor would make him a prefect! He edged closer into the room and my breath caught my in my throat, on his robes pinned over his heart was a badge that said 'head boy' i dropped my cards again.

James' PoV:

Wow a whole year of sharing a room with lily. She dropped her cards again I went and picked them up for her and she gave me a half hearted smile then stood up "well then I guess we just have to wait for everyone then won't we?"
"Yeah..."
15 minutes later everyone was in the room Li,y started her speech "hey everyone I'm lily Evans and I will be head girl this year there will be a patrol every night and you will be in pairs boy and girl, if anyone gets more than one detention from a teacher than you will be revoked of any privileges we get is that under stood?" There was a murmur of yes's but Lily was glaring right at me I looked down at the floor no more pranks... "Unless..." She continued "they get a pardon from ANOTHER head of house" knowing that the some head of houses would give their own house a pass "or even better dumbledor" with that she concluded everyone then looked at me Lily nudged me and I was blank then said something "umm good luck on the house cup guys" I sad sheepishly knowing how dumb that sounded but everyone said thank and smiled even the slytherins!

Lily's PoV: I walked back to the carriage I heard some whispers inside before I went in
"She will start as soon as she sits down"
"Your one"
"5 gallons?"
"Yep"
I walked in they all smiled at me Alice said "so how was it?"
I took a breath and started "did you know James is head boy I mean come on! He always has detention and dumbledor knows I hate him so why did he do it ! Ugh! I just hope I don't get paired up with him in anything otherwise my last year will be a nightmare!"
Katherine then said to Melanie "ok cough up I know you have the money I saw you count it"
"Fine here..." Melanie
hands Katherine 5 gallons I look at them with an eyebrow raised they grinned sheepishly and then we all laughed the rest of the way to hogwarts
