Chapter 25: The three Dragons (3)

The rest of the week were the same as always. Cale, Rosalyn, and the three dragons took turns to take care of the injured Empress Pauline, and finally they were able to find a solution to get rid of that poison inside the Empress' body. 

"Mary, you are finally here," Cale greeted mary, the fnal necromancer and one of the heroes he created a history for. Mary came back to the black castle after getting the letter that Cale sent to the Land of the Dead. 

"The empress, how long has shee been injured?" Mary curiously inquired in her gps-like mechanical voice. 

"It has been almost a week. Necromancer, can you deal with this type of poison and help get rid of it from our Empress' body?" Li Zhen asked while looking at the person dressed in a black robe. Mary briefly looked at his way, before looking at the patient lying in the middle of the bed. 

"Please clear the room, it may be harmful to others while I try to get rid of the poison." Mary said and everyone left the room.

The three dragons tried to be hard-headed but when Cale told them they are wasting time to get Empress Pauline healed faster, they reluctantly left as well.

Mary started to undress the Empress and saw how critical her state was. The black spider webs, that was a sign that it was dead mana, poisoning a living being, but the frightful purple color underneath the spider webs?! That was first for her to see. 

'Sir Cale said, it was from an arrowhead attacks, from her right arm, her stomach, her left leg... She must've been hurting so bad...' Mary thought while looking over the unconscious body.

At first, she did thought that it was just dead mana, since the clashing of light healing abilities and the dark attribute of the dead mana could result to the person being poisoned and subjected in pain, but this? It might be Black magic. However, after defeating the White Star, they have eradicated that scary thing... who would use it to harm the Empress? Mary looked at her hands before she started to work.

As the disciple of the Queen of Death, it will be easy to get rid of the black magic inside a living being. Purify it. Get rid of it. Eradicate it.

After half an hour, Mary opened the door of the bedroom and found the three dragons, Cale, Raon , and Rosalyn waiting for her. They all looked at her way with anticipation in their eyes. Hope, hope was evident on the three dragon's eyes as they look at her direction. 

"Mary, how is she?"

"Good Mary, were you able to get rid of it?" Cale and Raon asked her immediately, the others waited at the side for her answer. 

"I got rid of it," Mary siad and immediately heard the three dragons sigh in relief. 

"However..." Mary continued, and all eyes were looking at her with confusion.

"Her mana seemed to have gotten contaminated with black magic." Mary said.

"Black Magic? What is this Black magic? Will it harm our Empress?" Li Qian asked Mary. 

"That.... You will understand once she uses her mana," Mary said and left with Rosalyn. The four dragons and Cale went inside the room and found the empress sleeping peacefully.

"She's not in pain anymore," Li Zhen sighed with a smile.

"Her breathing is fine as well, the injuries seem to be healing on its own," Li Lui smiled as well.

"This is good, after she recovers, we can go back home together," Li Qui said and the other two dragons nodded in agreement.

"Wait, Wasn't the empress asking the human to be her partner in marriage? What do you mean by just the three of you?" Raon asked the three dragons while he was floating next to Li Zhen.

"What did you say?"

"Partner in marriage?!"

"The little girl is looking for a husband?!"

Cale was surprised by the sudden loud voices of the three dragons in front of him. The sudden hostility from the three made him catch his breath in his throat.

'Why are they being hostile with me? She was the one who went here with marriage intent!' Cale could only swallow his complains while being back up by Raon.

"Hey! Why are you treating him like that!  The empress asked him to be her marriage partner! not the other way around!" Raon said while flapping his wing with a frown on his face.

"The little girl... really went for that route," Li Qian said in a soft and frustrated tone while the others looked down towards Empress Pauline.

Cale and Roan left the room after fifteen minutes. He doesn't need to be there and get suffocated with that negative emotions lingering around the three dragons.

"Cheer up, human! I'm sure the Empress will wake up soon! Maybe in two-three days? She must be really hungry when she wakes up, let's prepare a feast when she wakes up!" Raon said followed behind Cale.

The same thoughts plagued his mind while the days passed by.

Cale was thinking back on the night before the terrorists strike. The words that Empress Pauline said towards him...

"Do not let her leave with fond memories... however, I think I am the same," Cale mumbled to himself. He was looking out of the the tall windows in the second floor, watching the sun set from the other side.

He was thinking about her smile, her bright blue eyes, and her figure. He was thinking of her expressions- Before Cale knew it, she already have a small space in his mind.

"This is bad..." Cale sighed as he closed his eyes. Him, Kim Rok Soo, never had a romantic partner before, if what he was feeling towards her were only interest and fancy, wouldn't that make the both of them hopeful for something?

"Young Master Cale,"

Cale opened his eyes and looked to his side, Ron was looking at him with his benign smile again.

"Something seems to be troubling you," It was a statement, not a question. Cale only sighed before he combed his fingers through his hair.

"I seem to be in a difficult and confusion situation, but I need to see if it's plausible with the other person," Cale said. Ron's eyebrows went up.

Oh? He's interested on her?

Before the two of them could converse more, Raon came flying towards them in an urgent manner.
