"This is unexpected," Jungkook whispers in my ear, behind me. I wanted to scratch the wall with my nails at how good that felt, but I stood still and continued to open the door to see what's all the fuss about. "I didn't know my mother is going to be here so early."

"Am I supposed to hide?" I mumbled, turning around to face him. He doesn't even take a step back and just looks down on me.

He smiles like he had some idea that came through his mind, "No, we'll eat with my mother. You just have to answer to her truthfully if she asks something, if not you can keep me company."

"Okay," I calmly say, going to his desk to start packing my stuff. But then, he comes to take the books away from me. I look up to him to see what's wrong.

He snickers, putting his ass on the edge of his desk. "You can leave your books here, it's not like you need them, do you?"

Shit, at this moment, my heart started to beat so fast that I almost wanted to slap myself to stop it. He's really the most attractive guy that I've ever met, but sometimes he needs to calm down. He probably talks to everyone like this, plus he likes girls just from the looks of it. I could just enjoy some quality time with a handsome guy for a year, that'll bring some joy for me.

Then, there's a knock on the door. Probably from his mother to tell us to come eat.

"Oh, Auntie," Jungkook calls, putting the books that he was holding on the desk before turning towards the door.

Auntie? That's surprising, maybe that's the housekeeper he was talking about.

"Food's ready," He tells me, grabbing my hand, not leaving me enough to grab my jacket and my bag. He gently whispers that he'll take it for me when I'm going to leave, which I gladly thank him.

He lets go of my hand as soon as we entered the dining room. I kind of felt cold and goosebumps started to creep up my body. Was his mother already there? How come she hasn't greeted her son yet?

Jungkook pulls a chair for me, I embarrassingly sat down as he went to sit beside me, but all the way down the table was his mother, sitting while reading a newspaper.

I just stared at my hands at how creepy this feels. It wasn't awkward at all, it was just so bone-chilling. I glance quickly to see Jungkook, but he had this small smile on his face and he was already watching me being all nervous.

"We're having pasta," Jungkook whispers like we weren't aloud to speak so loudly. I just nodded, shifting on my chair, feeling uncomfortable. Soon, I felt his hand on my hand that was resting on my thigh. "It must be uncomfortable, please bear with me."

I barely heard him speak, it was like he was trained to talk like that. It's not like he's being abused, it just seems like an emotionally unavailable mother. Well, I don't want to assume things.

The smell of pasta flooded in the room, I turned around to see two more lady serving the food for us. Once she placed the plate on the table, I didn't forget to thank her and Jungkook also said at the same time, which made us laugh quietly at that.

"You're welcome, enjoy your food," The kind lady said, bowing before leaving the room. For a moment, I forgot that Jungkook's mother was there.

I take a bite of the pasta and eating it carefully like I always do. I hide my mouth and looked at Jungkook, he was munching his food as he waited for me to say something.

"It's really good," I exclaimed, my voice coming out louder than expected.

"I'm glad you liked it. Is water good for you? Or do you want—"
