"Hey I'm not going to be around Friday," Wolf half-glanced in Gray's direction to gauge his reaction, something he'd been rather worried about lately, fucking annoying.

Gray didn't look up from his material, simply extending a hand to flip a page, "Okay," He hummed, unbothered.

Wolf was a little more than annoyed, even more so since he didn't have a reason to be pissed off, just sitting here with him as he studied was.. annoying. Probably. "Hayden set up some kind of dinner or something with some guys from Ganghak," He paused, then added, "And some girls," Wanting Gray to say anything about it, anything that showed he cared at all.

Unfortunately for the other, expressing emotions wasn't Gray's forte, "Okay, have fun," He hummed again like a machine, or perhaps a dialogue NPC with only so many options to choose from.

A moment's silence passed between the pair, until Wolf spoke up finally, clearing his throat, "So how will you be spending your Friday?" He asked, usually comforted by the fact that Gray'd be at home, keeping his schedule, waiting up for Wolf.

"Ben Park has invited me to sleep over with some of the others," Finally the loop was broken, some other words. Although, still, they weren't what Wolf wanted to hear, "You were invited too, but I'm assuming you won't be in attendance due to overlapping events." Despite the fact that it sounded like a mechanical statement, Wolf clearly recognized it as a question.

"Yeah I'm busy or whatever," He grumbled, sinking down into one of Gray's barstools. It was annoying, liking someone at least, or maybe it was just annoying to like Gray Yeon. He was always so perfect and difficult to find fault in, and even when he wasn't perfect Wolf enjoyed the company. Perhaps "annoying" is the wrong word and Wolf simply doesn't have enough experience to know a better one.

Gray's eyes skimmed content, flipping another page, a familiar action, "Okay, enjoy your gathering with Hayden and co." Then he halted, and for a moment Wolf hoped Gray would tell him to stay with him, that Gray wouldn't want him to go drink with girls, "If you need somewhere to sleep tonight, feel free to stay here even if I am not present," Then he returned to his book.

Just like that, Gray Yeon is hard to like and hard to be annoyed at.

Wolf didn't reply.

...

Friday:

...

Hwangmo stood at his side, leaned against the brick as they both smoked. Wolf hadn't threatened or ridiculed him at all lately. It was Gray's fault.

...

"Why are you so mean to Hwangmo, Seongje? You should be nice to your friends."

"He's not my friend."

"Then he's mine, treat him with the same respect as you would Eugene or Ben Park."

...

Just like that, Gray gained a new "number-one" fan, and Wolf stopped "bullying" Hwangmo. The orange haired boy even went as far as to call Wolf his friend, when he thought the other was out of earshot. It was weird to have friends like Gray and Hwangmo, not that Wolf had any prior experience to gauge it. He'd never been one to have any friends. Until now he'd been fine with that.

A lot had changed recently.

"Hayden's here," Hwangmo spoke, not an ounce of fear in his voice. It was even odder that Wolf liked it better this way. Treating Hwangmo as a friend wasn't much harder than treating him as a useless waste of space and time, and yet it was much more rewarding.
