Lorelei's POV:
Hayley and I join Rebekah, Freya and Nik in the study. Marcel joins too after checking the streets. When he walks in he just shakes his head. We'd been looking all over the city for Elijah with no luck.
It was almost surreal.
According to Hayley, Elijah was there one minute and gone the next without a trace.
Freya focuses on prepping the locator spell while Nik seethes. It's nighttime and the streets are silent giving the mood an even deeper chill.
"How could someone just snatch him off the street like that?" I ask
" it's not easy to just deduct an Original." Marcel says
"Agreed. Elijah would not go down without a fight." Rebekah agrees
Freya walks over to the bookcase and grabs a few candles and a book.
"I need to set the barrier back up." Freya says
"We need to find Elijah." Hayley insists
"Look I can either do a locator spell on Elijah or track down the witches but I can't do both. I have to put the barrier up first." Freya says frustrated
She scans around the room at all of us.
"Okay. Fine." She says
She walks over to a chest and pulls out a black candle with an upside down skull between the base and wax. With a snap of her fingers, the candle ignites.
"Now nobody can get in or out."
Nik hands her the vial of Elijah's blood. She focuses on her locator spell, quietly chanting and I watch as the blood moves to a small town in Arkansas. They didn't bother to cloak him.
This has to be a trap.
"Louisville." I say looking at the map
Nik lets out a sigh.
"That's going to be complicated." He says
"Why?" Hayley asks
"Let's just go to Louisville and get Elijah. Doesn't seem that complicated to me." Marcel says
"There's only one person who can give us information. Someone who is living in that town." He says unhappily
"Who?" Rebekah asks as Freya puts the candle out
Nik turns to face his younger sister with an expression of annoyance and loathing.
"Katerina."
