I'm sorry Kacey

Eddie's POV

I finally found her. I flew to Texas and walked to the firehouse of the 126. I walked in and saw her restocking the ambulance. I walked her every movement, knowing it was her. She had grown going on her fifth month of being pregnant. I had been searching for her for 2 months, trying to figure out where she was. I was tackled by TK as he started punching my face. I tried to block his punches, but nothing stopped him except Judd pulling him off me. I groaned, trying to stand up as Judd kicked my arms out from under me as I fell to the ground again.

"Oof. What the hell, man!?." I yelled furiously, getting up.

"What's going on out there?" I heard Kacey yell as she started our way.

"Nothing, sweetheart, stay over there. Just some homeless guy." Judd said, glaring at me.

I realize that the reason TK tried beating me half to death and Judd tripping me was for Kacey and what I had done to her. I looked down, upset with myself. I could hear her footsteps stop and retreat back to where she was before. Before I went anything, I was knocked out and put in the back of a police car.

Time passed as I started to wake up in the living room of a house. I looked around to see Carlos, TK, Owen, and Judd standing in front of me. Judd glaring at me (damn if looks could kill). TK and Carlos standing there looking at me arms crossed. Owen gave me the most disappointed look that a captain could give (it was just like Bobby's).

"I know what I did. I'm here to apologize. I know she isn't gonna give me a second chance, but I gotta try. I need to see her, please." I said desperately.

"You don't deserve to see her after what you did. Eddie, you fucking cheated on her!!" Judd said angrily.

"You don't even deserve to be here. You fucking ruined her life!! She knows what you said to Jack. You threatened our boy. You shouldn't even be here!! I should have taken you out when I saw you arrive." Carlos and TK both said.

Owen didn't say anything. I closed my eyes, remembering what I had said to Jack at his sleepover with Chris. I heard the door open as a gasp filled the room. Jack stood in the doorway, looking straight at his dads, uncle, and grandpa. I looked up to see Jack in shock as I was tied to the chair. Jack walked over in front of me as he was picked up by Judd to be moved behind him.

"What's Eddie doing here?" He asked.

"Don't worry about it, kiddo." TK said.

"Okay, dad." Jack said, walking to his room.

"I hope you know mom is gonna kill you all for not telling her. He's here!!!" Jack yelled to the next room.

"We know, bud." Carlos said.

"Yes, I am gonna kill all of you." Kacey said, standing in the doorway.

We all looked her way as she walked inside and put her stuff down on the couch. She walked up behind me, untying the ropes around my wrists. I rubbed my wrists as I turned in the chair to watch her. She walked past over to the boys glaring at them.

"Is this the homeless guy, you beat up TK? Judd?" She asked, looking at them.

I sat there, not moving an inch. They both nodded and earned a hit on the arm as she walked over to me. I felt her grab my wrist as she pulled me to the bathroom with her.

"Sit down." She demanded.

I obeyed and sat down on the toilet as she started to clean my cuts.

"Ugh, those boys." She grumbled, rubbing alcohol on my cuts.

I hissed as the alcohol entered my cuts. She rubbed a little harder in anger, which I totally deserved.

"Kacey, I came to apologize. I'm sorry for what I did to you. I don't know what was going through my brain. I guess I just thought maybe you'd never wake up from that coma and when you did. I was in too deep, I didn't want to hurt anyone. I'm sorry, Kacey.." I said.

"I know you are. Hen said you stopped showing up to work just to look for me. Chim noticed that you started having panic attacks. Buck had told me that Chris would call him and say you went to the house again but I wasn't home so you would sit at the door and then when you knew I wasn't going to answer, you would go home and cry yourself to sleep worried about me. Bobby came to visit with Athena, and they noticed you weren't getting any sleep cause you were too busy searching for me." She explained what I did to get back.

"I tried everything to get back to you, Kacey. I'm sorry for everything. You don't have to give me a second chance. I just wanted you to hear me out to understand that I realize what I did and that it was so stupid. Just know I love you Kacey." I said looking at her.

She looked at me, and I felt her lips on my cheek as she kissed a cut on my cheekbone. She pulled back and placed her hand on my cheek.

"I accept this apologize, but I still need time." She said.

"I completely understand." I said, holding her hand on my cheek close to me as possible.

I never realized how much I had missed her touch until now. I missed holding her close when we slept together. I felt a pair of eyes on us as I had my eyes closed, holding her hand.

"Mom, are we finally going home? I love dads, Uncle Judd, and Granpa Owen, but I miss Chris and Uncle Buck." Jack said, walking closer.

I heard Kacey sigh as she moved my hand to her heart as I felt it start to beat faster. I looked up at her as she looked into my eyes.

"What is my name? Edmundo 'Eddie' Diaz." She asked.

"Kassandra 'Kacey' Buckley." I said pulling her hand out as I placed a kiss on her hand.

I watched her smile and hug me as I hugged back. I picked her holding her. I set her down as Jack came and hugged my leg. I sighed in relief that I had my family back together. We walked out of the bathroom together. As night fell, Kacey pulled me into her room and pushed me onto the bed as she laid next to me. I rested my head on her belly, hearing the twins heartbeats. I felt them kick as I laid my face on her belly. I placed my hand on her belly with her as they kicked her hand. I smiled.

"My babies." I said with a smile.

"Girls." She corrected me.

"Wait what?" I said in disbelief.

"We're having girls, babygirls." She said.

I kissed her belly, smiling rubbing her belly happily. I felt her cuddle into my side as we both fell asleep peacefully in what felt like forever.
