Yoko no Kurama

We open on Y/n and Yueske walking back to the city, they had just retrived their first artifact from Gouki.

The older brother was leaning up against Boton's shoulder while Yueske was walking with a large stick.

Boton: Just admit it'd be easier to lean on my shoulder.

Y/n: Not that I'm complaining.

Yueske: It'd be embarrassing nonetheless.

Y/n rolled his eyes at his brother's arrogance.

Suddenly the two watches started to beep. Y/n's eyes widened believing they might have to fight again.

The Urameshi brothers started to scan the area hoping to find one of the demons they saw back at the forest.

However all they saw was normal humans walking up and down the street.

Y/n: (Thoughts) Shit! If that Hiei fucker is here we're dead. That Kurama guy doesn't seem the guy to fight in a civilian filled area.

That's when they saw him, Kurama was walking past them. Y/n and Yueske were immediately on guard.

Despite his calm demeanor, they had no idea if Kurama was a monster in combat. For all they know Kurama could easily kill them there if he wanted to.

However he didn't Kurama walked past the spirit detectives shocking them. Y/n was still on guard,hoping to protect Boton and Yueske.

That's when Y/n heard Kurama's voice. However Kurama's mouth didn't move. Telepathy.

Kurama: I have no intention of fighting either of you nor do I wish to flee. You're spirit gun and 1st gate will surely kill me.

Y/n: What's your game here, Kurama ?

Kurama: Give me 3 days. After that, I will happily return the Forelon hope.

Cut to Yueske's and Y/n's appartment where Boton was tending to their wounds.

Yueske was of course complaining about how painful the alcohol rub was on his wounds as it was now Y/n's turn to get treatment.

Y/n: Thank you, Boton. For the help against Gouki.

Boton: That's what lovers do, Y/n kun. Protect each other when they need help.

Y/n: No really Boton. Had you not come and saved our asses we wouldn't even be here.

That made them both silent. The thought of losing each other didn't sit well with either of them however they couldn't just quit being a spirit detective mid fight.

Besides Y/n has to watch over Yueske as well despite the power of the spirit gun, it could only get him so far.

Boton: What do you think about Kurama ? It could be a trap.

Yueske: Yeah Y/n, did you get a feel on him ?

Boton: A feel ?

She turns to her boyfriend as Yueske explained about his brother's special ability.

Yueske: I don't know what it is about him but Y/n's always had an ability to tell what a person's feeling the second he sees them.

Y/n: He felt so desperate. As if he was trying to use the artifacts to protect someone he loved. Still it's hard to say I can trust him.

Boton: Indeed it seems a little too easy. It isn't a coincidence that he ask to meet in 3 days.

The Urameshi brothers turn to her confused until the Grim Reaper explained it.
