Demigods, a socially glorified species that does not deserve all the credit that the name bears. Take it from someone who actually is one. Most of us aren't heroes of great stature. We're just people who have a stink that attracts unwanted monsters. The kind of stink you can't just get rid of with a nice hot shower and some good perfume. Stories and myths glorify quests where a child of a human and a god defeat the seemingly undefeatable foe, marking it down as a win for the home team. Some of us are wonderful, have powers that we don't really know how to use. The other bunch tries to live as close to a normal life as we can get. I myself unfortunately fit into neither of these categories. I am a literal daughter of death. A daughter of Hades, or Pluto wherever your political loyalties lie. For a long time this was a big no-no. Zues, Posiedon, and Hades all had made this giant vow never to have any more kids. As you can see, this bow was pretty uselessly made since there are a ton of us around. For example, the famous Percy Jackson, Thalia and Jason Grace, and my own siblings Hazel Levesque and Nico DiAngelo. I guess you could say that the gods are pretty loose men, hmm? My goal in telling my story to you, is to enlighten you of the reality of our species. Just like humans which we partially are, most of us live and die without much outward recognition by the world. As much as I would like to deny it, I have been caught in the group of the recognized. But my story I guarantee won't end in the perfect happy ending, but instead in peace.
