Chapter one

Knock knock knock. Was all Cupid heard before panic set in. He had yet another girl in his bed. But it wasn't his fault she started it. Sure, he went along with it, but the kids got to make money somehow, and his looks sure help alot thank you, mom. "Cupid, are you awake yet?" His mother called. " Uh yes mother just give me a moment. " his voice woke up the girl whose name he didn't even know. But she was a paying customer.

" Out," He whispered. She looked hurt but got up and went for the door. " No, no window. " Cupid said. " I can't fly!" She yelled whispered back. So Cupid scooped her up and ran out the window, leaping into the air. He opened his large wings and landed on the ground. He put the stunned woman down. Holy Jupiter, this girl was at least thirty-eight bit old for him being sixteen. " Thanks, love," He said before taking off again. He landed in his room just for his mom to open the door.

"Cupid, why are you still not dressed? You know your sister and her father are coming for dinner." Crap that was tonight he was going fire skipping tonight, got the order yesterday. " Oh, of course, my careless time management skills. I'm sorry. " His mother just as beautiful as ever ran a hand through his hair then down his face." Yes, you are careless. That's why everyone envys you." Cupid was pretty sure it wasn't cuse he lived life, not a care in the world, maybe more towards the fact he always looked perfect.

He went over to his mirror. His dark brown hair was messy but still looked good. His fair skin was as always without blemish. He was pretty sure fire skipping was making him a lot skinnier, and then he already was seriously at the moment his father Mars could probably wrap one of his huge hands around his waist. Just giving him another reason to hate Cupid. "Worriors should not be so thin they should be strong have battel scars to show off nothing like you Cupid "And his eyes his favorite feature. " Like shards of ice," His sister says.

Ruby, his sister. Well, technically, half sister but he loved her like a full one. See the whole family drama is this. Venus was in love with an ordinary Olyimpian man. He had no special powers just eternal life and enhanced strength and sences like everyone else. But Venus loved him. Jupiter made her marry Mars because he wanted a great worrier. Unfortunately for all involved Venus had me. It was pretty obvious from day one that I was no worrier like they wanted more a charmer. Venus went back to the man she loved and conceived Ruby. Sadly he found out about the affair between Venus and Mars and that I was not his son. Jupiter was so angry that I wasn't a spitting image of my father and that Ruby's father had figured out about the affair Jupiter decreed that Ruby and I Only be aloud to see each other once a year. Legally we do it illegally all the time. No one will tell on us they all agree with us even Pluto and Neptune Jupiter's own brothers would never turn us in.

And Ruby she was something else. Beautiful. Her hair long and dark it fell to he knees in perfect waves. Fair skin like me but had faint freckles across her cheeks and nose. She was slim graceful and all around gorgeous. But she was also way powerful. Telekinesis, mind reading, and emotion inficting she's one of the most powerful Olyimpians to ever live. Rivaling the power of Jupiter himself.

He left his hair messy and and changed into a blue tunic. He took the bag of money off the dresser. Wich had mostly books. That may be what shocked most people the most that he loved to read. It was his absolute favorite thing to do. Most of the time papers and books litterd his room. He counted the money 200 hundred gold pieces. He should have charged more he did everything she asked no matter how hard it was. He could up his price people would pay.

He went down the spiral stair case to the kitchen. And Jupiter that Ambrosia smelled so good. Taking a fork he priced a fresh pice of the cake. Someone shaped his hand causing him to drop the sweet cake. " Boy those are for tonight who taught you manners?" Omar said. Omar was there cook paid of course and he was amazing. He was a cyclops and Cupid had no clue how he made food so good with his huge hands and one eye.

" No one Omar you know that." " Right that's why your always in some type of trouble. " the cyclops joked. Taking his cake. " Oh Omar come on I'm hungry!" Cupid whined. " Well then go out and get something. Cupid grumbled as he headed out.

He met up with his friends in the square. Astaria came forward. "Did you hear the mission is scraped the buyer backed out." She said twirling her curly blonde hair round her fingers. " What?" Cupid said. This was one of there biggest jobs. "Those medallions are priceless?" " Dosent matter buyers worried well get caught and that it will be traced back to them. " Coward " Cupid said shaking his head. This was part of fire skipping he guessed. Sometimes things didn't go right.

"Hey, look who's staring at you again." His friend Amos said. Pulling on his firey red hair his green eyes shineig playfully. Cupid didn't trun to see instead replied " Amos your gonna have to be more specific. " Amos rolled his eyes." Alright, Mr. Ego the half-blood."

Cupid turned to see. Sure enough there she was. Emily Brown. The daughter of Diana and some human man. Don't get me wrong she was incredibly attractive. Her hair fell down her back and was a golden blonde with natural highlights. Her sky blue eyes were always sharp. And a huge contrast to her soft features. She was slim but with lovely curves. However she was nothing but trouble. And he was enough trouble himself. Plus she wanted like a long term thing and Cupid knew that wasn't possible.

She caught him looking and flutterd her eyelashes and smiled. A perfect smile. Cupid didn't react just turned back to his friends. Amos shook his head " Disappointing I'd kill to have such a hot girl." Astaria scoffed." I think it takes alot of character to resist such looks." She smiled at him kinda dreamily. Then seemed to cach herself and looked away blushing hard." But then again you probably Crack soon."

Cupid looked at Amos in confusion. Dose Astaria like me? He thought. No way were just friends nothing more at all ever. Amos gave him a knowing smile then pat him on the back. "Come on let's eat I'm starving. "
