CHAPTER 1
On a luminous and tranquil evening, I found myself in solitary contemplation, pondering the mysteries of the world beyond. Some opine that our earthly departure leads to heavenly or hellish realms, while others perceive it as the cessation of existence. To my amusement, it all seemed rather comical.
The melodic voice of my little sister, calling out, "Zelerina, get up! Mom is summoning you," roused me from my reverie. I stirred, beholding her inherent beauty, a constant presence in her.
"Karny," I affectionately addressed her, placing a tender kiss upon her forehead.
"Good morning, Mother," I greeted, my senses tantalized by a delightful aroma wafting through the air. "Mmmmm, delectable! My stomach rumbles in delight. What culinary wonder awaits us today, Mother?"
"Well, today, your father and I shall conduct a special prayer session, and we are preparing a feast for our esteemed guests."
I ruminated internally. My father, a pastor, always sought our spiritual well-being, but my devotion to the church was not as fervent.
Weeks elapsed, and I secured admission to a university. Yet, apprehension gnawed at me, for I could not bear to leave my mother in solitude. Nevertheless, the die was cast.
Tears welled in my mother's eyes as I bid farewell to my family on that momentous day. My father offered his customary prayer, while my sister clung to me, gripped by the fear of abandonment. It was a heart-wrenching parting.
My journey commenced, and I had no inkling of the impending twist of fate. Suddenly, a speeding car veered out of control. Panic and chaos erupted within the vehicle, my heart racing uncontrollably. The cacophony of screams and cries filled the air as our car met with disaster.
When consciousness returned, I found myself in an inky void, unscathed and surrounded by ethereal splendor. I beheld a young man, handsome with azure eyes and cascading dark brown curls, gazing at me.
Perplexity gripped me. Was I witnessing an act of sorcery or had the accident ushered me into the afterlife? Bizarre thoughts swirled within my mind.
"Welcome to the School of Magic," a woman extended a hand to help me rise.
I stood, bewilderment etched across my face. "School of Magic?"
She introduced herself, "I am Mrs. Colony, the headmistress of this institution. Fear not; you shall learn all in due course."
Rendered speechless, I contemplated my improbable reality—a pastor's daughter in a realm of magic. Mrs. Colony offered a warm smile. "Helen," she called, beckoning forth a young woman. "Please, assist our new student."
"I am Helen. Welcome to the School of Magic. I shall be your mentor and guide. You were chosen by the Queens of Magic, and that is why you are here."
"Queens of spirit?" I inquired, my astonishment mounting.
"Yes," she confirmed. "They are the deities who safeguard us."
I hesitated. "But I thought we worshiped only one God, the one my father prays to."
"No, my dear," Helen replied. "There exists an underworld teeming with magical wonders and life."
With a reassuring smile, Helen added, "Do not fret; you will come to understand it all in due course."
And so, my enchanting journey commenced, as I encountered fellow students wielding extraordinary magical abilities, while the notion of an otherworldly realm filled with enchantment continued to intrigue me.
My journey began in my mysterious Marvel School. My first day felt frightening. I got a room to stay, and I had a wardrobe filled with clothes already, but I thought about what was so special. Then I discovered magic. I turned and found a glittering book in my wardrobe. I reached to get the book but couldn't.
Then, I felt someone's hands, longer than mine, reach down and bring the book to me. I turned and behold, it was the handsome guy with azure eyes and cascading dark brown curls, gazing at me. I was at a loss for words. Yes, he was incredibly good-looking, but I had to divert my attention because guys like this usually used you. I thanked him and tried to get away, but he gripped my hand and handed me the book. He said, "You're the lady I saw earlier in the hall room. Welcome to the School of Magic. I'm Zelly, and you?" I told him my name was Zelerina, and he should let go of my hand. "Oh," he said and released me. "Catch you later, Zelerina, at dinner."
