Wave to my Heart

Watch "The Eighth Sense" BL drama for more context and the previous plot. May be spoilers. 

Jaewon and Jihyun have just gotten together. Jihyun is finally a sophomore, and Jaewon started working at the bar that Jihyun works at. Jaewon still sees his therapist frequently, trying to relieve his trauma slowly. The two boys moved in with each other after they started dating. 

"Hey.. do you know where the conditioner is by any chance, I thought I put it by the sink but it is gone," asked Jihyun as Jaewon walked into the bathroom. 

"Oh yeah, I think I put it over on the counter..let me go get it for you," said Jaewon as he approached Jihyun as he was preparing to take a shower. 

Jaewon got flashbacks to when he first showered with Jihyun at their first surfing trip. It was the first night when Jaewon drunkenly kissed Jihyun for the first time on the beach. 

"Ahh.. found it," Jaewon mumbles as he grabs the conditioner and returns back to Jihyun in the bathroom.

"Thanks," Jihyun says while he grabs the bottle from Jaewon's hands. 

"Mind if I join you in the shower?" Jaewon questioned Jihyun while he was taking his shirt off.

"What if I said no?" Jihyun smiled and said teasingly.

Jaewon proceeded to give Jihyun puppy dog eyes but then Jihyun lifted up Jaewon's shirt and proceeded to hug him. Their hugs is the warmest embrace that Jaewon has felt since his brother died. Jaewon hates talking about his brother's death to other people because they always ask about how the accident happened, then he has to relive the whole scene over again. But somehow... it is different with Jihyun... it is almost like he can just vent to him and will never be judged or treated a different way. 

"Come on, let's shower... we can watch a movie once we are done," Jaewon whispered into Jihyun's ear.

The two proceed to shower together, scrubbing each others hair and giggling as the bubble flew into the air. Once they get out, they get into their matching pajamas and snuggle together under a blanket on the sofa. 

"So.. what movie do you feel like watching today..?" Jihyun asked Jaewon as he looked up into his eyes.

"Hmm... what about a Studio Ghibli movie... My Neighbor Totoro?" suggested Jaewon.

"Oooh, yes... I have been wanting to watch that one for a while," exclaimed Jihyun as he snuggled against Jaewon's forearm. Jaewon kissed Jihyun's forehead then continued to start the movie.

                        ------------------------------Halfway through the film------------------------------

"Aww look how cute Totoro is," Jaewon said to Jihyun.

There was no response.

"Uh..hello..?" said Jaewon questioning the silence.

It turns out that Jihyun had fallen asleep on Jaewon's lap while watching the movie. He was peacefully laying there with one holding Jaewon's hand around his waist and the other hanging off the side of Jaewon's lap. Jaewon finds Jihyun cute while he is sleeping.

Jaewon whispers, "Goodnight, my love," to Jihyun before he goes back to watching the movie.

When the movie credits start rolling, Jaewon decides he is finally ready for bed. Jihyun is still peacefully dreaming on Jaewon's lap.

Quiety trying to wake Jihyun, Jaewon lightly shakes his arm. 

"...mmm.." Jihyun mumbles in his sleep.

Jaewon then chuckles and proceeds to lightly poke at Jihyun's cheek.

"...huh..." Jihyun mutters still half asleep.

"The movie is over," Jaewon whispers to Jihyun. "Let's go to bed."

Jihyun manages to get up and hug Jaewon, then he jumps up and Jaewon carries them to their bedroom. 

Jaewon and Jihyun then cuddle for the rest of the night then fall asleep in each other's arms with the cold ocean breeze creeping in through the curtains with the sound of the ocean waves crashing in the background.
