Icy and the Mixed Myths Vol. 2

Icy runs off. Again!

Mimi's P.O.V.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" Molly screams at Icy.

"The letter was from my dad and addressed to me," Icy replied sheepishly. She looks away, then at Alec. I feel ashamed that we didn't tell him. I sigh. Her sad eyes look at me. I nod my head no. She sighs and takes off.

"Wait, Icy!" I yell. "Where are you going?" I run after her. I grab her arm.

"I can't deal with her being here, Mimi," she tells me, tears welling up in her eyes. "She's a witch! She'll hurt me for sure. Remember my mark?"

"Yeah, the vampire one," I reply.

"Well, first off all, she can't know about it. Second of all, she hurts me worse than that." My eyes widen in surprise. She pulls her pant leg up, revealing a huge scar that goes around her ankle.

"Oh my goodness!" I exclaim. I cover my mouth before I scream.

"It'd make now sense if she was the Hades kid. Gosh," she says. She rolls her eyes, jerks her arm away from me, wipes treats from her eyes, and takes off. "Sorry," she mutters. Tears well up in my eyes as I watch.

"Mimi?" Alex asks quietly. I wipe my tears and show him a fake smile.

"Yeah?" I say weakly.

"We're going to start eating soon. You coming?" He talks calmly and quietly, as if not to upset me.

"Y-Yeah, just give me a sec," I stutter. 'He'll know something is wrong if you stutter!' I curse myself. I run of to my fireplace.

"Hey Alex, you should eat before you leave," Alec says. I stare at Alec in confusion.

"Leave?" I ask. "Why's he leaving?"

"I need to look for Icy," Alex answers. "Find out why she left, and I'm gonna bring her back." He smiles proudly, like this mission was just so important.

"She left because of Molly," I mutter.

"Huh?" Alec asks, looking over at me.

"What do you mean?" I ask. I smile and closer my eyes. "I didn't say anything." Alex leaves. Alec is by my side in an instant.

"Don't lie to me," he says seriously.

"What do mean? I'm not lying," I lie. I chock my head towards Molly. He slaps me. I smile. "I'll tell when she goes to sleep," I mutter through clenched teeth.
