Bhatkay se hum, bhatkay qadam

mehka hai jaise ruaan ruaan...

jaanay jaana,

mujhe behka na...

Note: Souk means bazaar/market in Arabic.

Sometime around two am

His fingers skimmed the top of her hand and trailed all the way up her arm; the touch a silky whisper. His hot fingers felt slightly rough on her soft, supple skin and Meerab shivered as the fingers veered from her elbow and landed on her silk-covered waist. She felt a sudden warmth through the cold, slinky fabric of her pyjama top as his large hand cupped her skin where it nipped in at the waist. Meerab looked down and her legs felt weak at the contrast of his tanned hand snugly nestled against the snowy white silk. Her hands came up to his chest and she realised he was wearing his uniform; the white dress shirt feeling crisp under her touch. Her hands travelled up from his abs to his upper torso and halted as they reached golden pilot's wings emblem on his left pec, just above his heart.

She kept her eyes fixated on it as his face lowered and his nose skimmed her right ear before burying itself in her neck. She felt his chest expand as he inhaled deeply, a moan sounding at the back of his throat. She felt him move back as he raised his head and his other hand came up to cup her lowered chin.

"Eyes, Meerab."

His calloused fingers pushed her chip up, causing her face to tilt upwards and her eyes finally met his dark drown ones. Her breath hitched and Meerab felt a strange sizzle between her legs; he stared back unflinchingly, his strong, chiselled jaw clenched slightly and his moustache framing his gorgeous mouth. Meerab waited for him to take the next step, her body incapable of movement. His hand moved to the side of her face and almost engulfed the entire area as he stroked her plump cheek with his thumb. Meerab watched as his burning eyes caressed her face intently and his head lowered to hers, and then his lips parted as he...let out a painful groan?

Huh?

Meerab's body jolted awake. Springing up from the mattress, she shuffled back and pressed against the cushioned head-rest as rapid, choppy breaths rushed out of her, her throat dry. Wiping a finger on her upper lip revealed it had beaded with sweat and her neck felt damp as strands of hair stuck uncomfortably to it. Hunching forward with a hand on her heart, Meerab's eyes adjusted to the dark just as her eyes widened.

How dare he trespass into her dreams and that too for such harkatein? Besharam admi. And how had she let him? Maybe she was equally besharam, because what the hell? What was she doing having questionable dreams about the man?

Gulping hard in a bid to catch her breath, Meerab pushed the warm, heavy duvet off and immediately stilled as a groan pierced the silence.

Oh my goodness, the dream was still ongoing?

Her mouth fell open as a scarier thought hit her.

Was he here?! Had it been real?

She was off the bed in less than a second, her body leaping down as her head swiveled around trying to figure out where the dreaded husband of her dreams was. Her hand frantically fumbled for the bedside lamp and light flooded just as another groan sounded. Blinking rapidly at the sudden brightness, Meerab rubbed a hand over her eyes as she stumbled around the huge room trying to find the source of the noise. Her feet tripped just as her tired brain geared into action and a gasp slipped her mouth. And then she was running towards the door, her feet skidding on the silky cream carpet.
