The last bell of the day rang and I blew out a sigh of relief. I grabbed my notepad and walked out of the classroom, dodging people walking in the opposite directions as I headed towards my locker. I listened to the sound of everyone hooting and hollering since it was the last day of school. I was officially graduated. I smiled to myself as I opened my locker.

"Hello my sweet" I grabbed the rest of my things and closed my locker, turning to my best friend and laughed

"My sweet? What do you want this time?" We walked out the doors together as she laughed awkwardly.

"What do I want? Nothing, why would I need anything. Pshhh, you think to much" Her smile dropped when it began to thunder. She looked around for I was assuming her father whom was no where to be seen. I rolled my eyes.

"Want a ride?" She squealed and latched onto my side.

"You're the best best friend ever. My dad was busy and texted me last minute telling me to find a ride"

"Dude we live in the same house, its not a big deal. And plus, what are friends for" He smiled and blew me a kiss as she got in the passenger side of my 2015 Chevy Silverado. I loved my truck. I was a birthday and graduation present from my father. I put my gun harness up over my shoulders and latched in across my abdomen as we received a mental message from the alpha.

**I need everyone to the pack house meeting room immediately** I was abut to ask why but he cut the ties. I shrugged as my best friend looked at me questionably and drove off.

After the meeting I sat in my room with Amy while we watched Netflix. I was pissed to say the least. Our alpha had told us we needed to be prepared for tomorrow because our neighboring, and one of the strongest packs in the world was visiting our pack for a picnic. I freaking picnic. Whose has those anymore? My wolf was anxious over something that was gonna happen tomorrow. I couldn't sleep. After I cleaned both of my 9's I final fell asleep.

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. I groaned and pushed whoever it was off my bed with my foot. I laughed when I hear a thud and I growl.

"You psycho, get up we gotta get ready" Amy yelled from the floor. I groaned louder and rolled over to look at her. She smirked at me.

"I'm not wearing  dress" She jumped up and ran to my closet. I heard her muffled voice from the inside

"Alpha Adam said we had to look our bests, so yes a dress is what you'll we wearing." I groaned and finally got out of bed walking out of my door as I heard Amy yell my name. I walked into the kitchen ignoring everyone that walked past me as I go a mug out of the cupboard and poured myself a cup of coffee. As I took a long sip I sighed.

"Black, like my soul" I watched my dad approach me and mentally rolled my eyes. Here we go.

"River, why aren't you ready" He demanded.

"I just woke up dad I have plenty of time" He growled and took my coffee from me. I reached for it as I whined and jumped into the air.

"Dad, give me my coffee back" He smirked

"Go get ready River, that's an order" I snatched my coffee from him and growled

"You cant order me around dad you're not the alpha" He smirked and looked behind me.

"No, but I am" I gulped and turned around, laughing sheepishly

"G-Goodmorning Alpha" He crossed his arms a crossed his chest and smiled.

"Go get ready River" He said in an alpha tone and I looked down walking away

"Yes Alpha" I heard him and my dad talking ad almost made it to my room before the Alpha spoke up

"Oh and River, leave your weapons in your room please" I grumbled and slammed my door shut. I swear they teamed against me sometimes
