3rd person's POV
Eddie helped Kacey into the house, holding all the bags and door. Kacey walked in, holding both carriers as she put both girls on the couch. Eddie followed her, putting the bags behind the couch. As she unbuckled both girls, she picked up one while Eddie picked up the other. The twins were fast asleep in their parents' arms as Buck and Lucy walked through the door with Jack and Chris.
"Mom!! Dad!!" They both squealed running to their parents.
"Hey buddy." Kacey said.
Jack hugged his mom's leg as Chris went to Eddie. Kacey smiled, ruffling Jack's hair. Buck came up and looked at Kaylynn in Kacey's arms.
"Can I hold her?" Buck asked.
Kacey nodded, handing her over to him. Buck looked down at his niece in awe. Lucy watched her boyfriend as he held his niece. Kacey looked at the door as Maddie walked in with Jee. Kacey waved to her sister.
"I'm sorry, it's been so long." Kacey said, apologizing.
"It's okay, Kacey. I understand if you're still upset with me." Maddie said.
"No, I'm not upset. I-I j-ju-just didn't want to hurt you again." Kacey stuttered.
Maddie wrapped her arms around Kacey, hugging her tightly. "I missed you, sis." Maddie whispered.
Kacey hugged her tight as she started to pull away. Jee hugged her leg. Kacey crouched down to Jee's level.
"Hi Jee-Yun." Kacey said.
"Hi Auntie Kace." Jee said.
Kacey smiled, hugging her. Jee hugged her aunt tightly. Maddie smiled. Eddie let Maddie hold Evelyn. Eddie went to the kitchen and started dinner. Kacey followed Eddie into the kitchen, holding Jee.
"Hey baby, I'm making your favorite." Eddie said.
"Aww, thanks, babe." Kacey said.
As Kacey sat down with Jee in her lap, they watched Eddie cook away, making Kacey's favorite food. Soon enough, everyone walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. Buck and Maddie had laid the girls down to sleep before they came to sit down in the kitchen with us. Maddie sat next to her sister as we heard a knock at the door. Buck got up and answered the door, letting in all their friends. Everyone was in the house, Bobby helping Eddie cook in the kitchen, while everyone else talked and congratulated Kacey and Eddie.
"So where are they?" Athena asked.
"Sleeping in our room. Want to come see?" Kacey said, standing.
Athena took Kacey's hand and followed her to the bedroom. Kacey walked over to the twins' crib and smiled. Athena stood next to Kacey, laying her head on her shoulder, hugging her arm.
"They're beautiful." Athena said.
"Thanks, Thena." Kacey said, looking over her babies.
"Hey. Food's ready." Bobby poked his head in the room, saying.
"Okay." Kacey said as Athena followed Bobby out of the room.
Kacey stood over the crib, watching her girls sleep as Maddie came in and stood next to her.
"What am I gonna tell them?" Kacey asked.
"Tell who?" Maddie asked.
"Mom and Dad. They have 3 grandkids that they have never even met before let only exist." Kacey said.
"Don't worry about them. They don't have to know about anything. Kacey, I understand why you did what you did. I'm sorry for ever doubting you. I never meant to." Maddie said.
"It's okay. Maybe it's better this way." Kacey said.
"I think it is." Buck said, spooking his sisters.
Kacey and Maddie turned around to glare at their brother. Buck put his hands up in defense as he walked closer to his sisters, wrapping his arms around them both. Kacey and Maddie both hugged their brother as they stood over the twins' crib.
"I don't think it matters if mom or dad know about any of this." Buck said.
"I agree." Kacey and Maddie said at the same time.
Kacey finally pulled her siblings out of the bedroom and quietly shut the door behind them. Everyone watched them in awe and smiled. Buckley family moments were rare, but they all had each other to remember.
Kacey's POV
I walked over to Eddie and sat down on his lap in the living room as everyone gathered, talked, ate, and hung out. I watched everyone around me as Eddie held me close in his arms. That feeling on security and safety was all we needed in the house again. Eddie made me feel safe, I wouldn't know what I would do without him. Jack came over and tapped on my leg as I dazed off into space.
"Hey, momma. Are you happy?" Jack asked.
I shook my head, looking at him in awe. I picked him up and hugged him tight. "Of course, I'm happy, bug." I said.
Jack smiled, hugging back. I settled with Jack in my lap as I sat in Eddie's lap with Chris next to us as I watched everyone around me smile in joy about the life we all lived.
As the night grew longer, everyone decided it was time to go home. Eddie and I had put Chris and Jack to bed around 9 pm. Eddie had been fast asleep when the girls started crying. I sighed, climbing out of bed as I picked up Evelyn and Kaylynn, taking them to the living room with me. I started to rock Evelyn as I fed Kaylynn and then switched when I needed to. A while later, I put Kaylynn back to sleep in her crib as Evelyn cried more. I lay in bed with her on my chest as she calmed down to fall asleep. Once I got her to sleep, I put her in the crib. I climbed into bed and sat against the headboard. I closed my eyes as I started to feel tired again. Kaylynn started to cry as I closed my eyes. I instantly got up and picked her up, going to change her and then rocking her to sleep as well. As I laid her back down in the crib and got back into bed, it felt like in the blink of an eye, it was morning again.
