Silent Voice: So Ciel, what are you and Soleil doing for your 16th birthday? It's less than a week away.
Ciel: Oh... I don't know.
Silent Voice: Huh. Well, talk about it with her. Maybe you'll get to meet all her friends she's made so far. Or at least the ones in her friend group.
Ciel: Okay. Let's talk to Candace Shultz (Guided Encounters) now.
He went back to the computer. He invited Candace for a chat. She accepted.
Guided Encounters: Hello there.
Silent Voice: Hi, Candace. Happy birthday.
Guided Encounters: Thanks. I'm turning 20. I'm 2 decades old finally. One more year and then I'll be old enough to drink alcohol and gamble.
Silent Voice: I'm 20 too. Looks like we'll be graduating in the same class.
Guided Encounters: Yep. And in case you want to know more about me, I like to paint walls.
Ciel: Just on walls?
Guided Encounters: Yeah, pretty much. It's not as exciting as painting on a canvas.
And so, Ciel, Stephanie, and Candace kept talking for a few more minutes until Candace had to leave.
