The ball of my foot touches the shapeless liquid. I never liked water much. Maybe it was how water felt or the gross feeling you get after swimming in it. I don't have a phobia of it. It's just something I don't like, it's sort of how people hate the sound of nails against chalkboards. I don't know why. I just dislike water."Hey Tyler," my friend Nick, swims towards me "get in. You're going to get in trouble for not doing anything in class."
I groan. I take a deep breath. I hate swimming. I step towards the pool, slip and crash into the water. I panic. I can't breathe. Oh... right I'm underwater. I think I hit my head. Hard. I'm having a really bad headache. I remember something. I hear a kids voice. It wasn't an accident. I see an image of a kid playing in the water. I remember but, I don't remember everything. I don't even know what I'm remembering. I hear screaming. A hand reaches down and pulls me.
