I don't remember much of my parents just that they loved me. I still remember the screams of all the people when I left my planet. Oh the horrible screams it makes chills run down my spine. "Why" I always asked myself. Why did my parents leave me. I remembered going out of my planets orbit. I was very little then, 2-4 "when was it". I remember that I wasn't supposed to land on earth, "but where". I always asked myself these three questions, "when, why, and where". I set down my pencil. I had been writing down all the facts I know of my past. I closed the book I was writing in, locked it, and then put it in my safe. As I put my book away I picked up the one thing that has come with me from my planet. It was a badge with a star on it, it had a texture of gold. This was the thing I understood the least. I held it in my hands thinking of what it could be. Finally I decided it was probably my home planets emblem or flag. I set it down and forgot about it. Just then I heard a bell. I recognized that bell anywhere. My mom would always ring it when dinner was ready. I opened my door and hurried down the stairs. As I was sitting down at the table I decided I would ask my mom about my real parents. "Mom, do you know anything about my parents,". My mom and dad glanced at each other in a strange way like they were worried of something "but what?" They finally looked at me "James I've already told you when we were adopting you the people there said they knew nothing of your parents." My mom said as she fixed her plate with mashed potatoes. I looked at her "ugh can I eat in my room?" I asked I wanted to be alone. My mom gave dad another worried glance. "That's ok son just wash your plate off when you're done" my dad said as he stuff his face with a roll". I hurried upstairs thinking why. Why where they scared. Why are they hiding something from me. I decided that would be the first thing I figure out. "Why."
