KARL POV

"AHHHHHHHHH!!" What the honk is Tommy yelling about now?

"The fuck?" Sapnap growls, rolling over on top of me. He buries his head in my chest and sighs, "Fucking Tommy."

"It's annoying, innit?"

"Karl..." He glares up at me as he lifts his head. "Shut up."

"You love me." I grab his face and kiss his nose. "You love me so much, don't you?"

"Don't treat me like a dog." But his tail is literally wagging. "Karl, where are the kids?" The kids? THE KIDS!! "Milo?"

I sit up and he does too, us looking around for the little ones. They have to be in their nest, right? No way they'd leave us. We're good to them, we take care of them and- we always try our best. "Milo? M-max?"

"They're not in their nest." Sapnap stands up quickly, slipping new clothes on and throwing some at me. "Put those on an-"

"Mommy Karl!!" Max! "Mommy Karl?"

"Max! One second, honey." I throw the clothes on and unzip the tent to pick up little Max. "Hey, baby, good morning!" I spin in a little circle, the both of us giggling happily. "What've you been up to?"

"Max, Milo, Tommy, Tubbo, build PC!" They're gonna build a PC? Do they even know how? Well, I think Tubbo does. "Mommy Karl, what's PC?"

"It's a computer, honey, you play games on it."

"Games?"

"Video games." Does he know what those are? "We'll show you, you'll see. Want me to carry you or do you want to walk?"

"Wan' Daddy Sappy!" His little arms reach out to Sapnap with a grin, so cute. Adorable even. "Sappy!"

"Come here, bubba." Sappynappy gladly takes the smaller into his arms before leaning to press a kiss to my forehead. "Two of my five favorite boys."

"Five?"

"Max, you, Milo, Dream, and Gogs. Five favorites but you're definitely tiered. Now what're we doing?"

"PC building with our boys, Tubbo, and Tommy."

"What about everyone else?" Sap's head tilts, he's such a puppy boy, I love him. "Let's go check on them. Gotta make sure Milo is all good."

"Yeah!" I grab his free hand and swing them as we walk over to everyone who's sat around a big pot, their plates full of amazing looking beans. Beans. Again. "Guys, hi!" I greet them as we sit down on our log. "What's up?"

"We're gonna build a PC! Epic, innit?" Tommy jumps around, Milo giggling in his arms, "gonna play Minecraft!"

"Alright, what's everyone else doing?" I grin watching as Max crawls onto my lap from Sap's.

"Nothing much." Wilbur shrugs, he always says he isn't up to much or he's reading a book.

Sam and Colby share a glance before Colby speaks up, "Don't know yet, what's everyone else doin'?"

"PC building." Sapnap answers, "Oh, and DNF are busy. Did anyone feed them?" He might not seem like it but he's worried about them. It's sweet and kinda sad since he can't do much. "Tommy, you're gonna give the kid shaken baby syndrome, chill out."

"Didn't know we were havin' a grumpy mornin'." Tommy scoffs, sitting down to scoop some beans in his mouth. He scoops some into Milo's every couple bites which is cute.

"I gave Dream some food a while back, they'll be fine for the day." Ranboo shrugs as he chomps down on some bread. "Imma do my own thing, no PC building for me." Something is up with him for sure, or maybe it's just weird because he's in a weird situation with Tubbo??

"How about we walk around and pick a rich neighborhood to look through for PC parts, we're also gonna need to find a power source." I make myself a bowl of beans and eat some. They're pretty warm still which is nice.

Tommy nods about a million gazillion times, "sounds like a plan!" I'd always thought he wouldn't be a morning person and maybe he ain't but he sure is hyper.

"Ranboo," Tubbo reaches out for the alpha and takes his hand, frowning. "You won't come with?"

Ranboo sighs. "If you want me to I will. Would you like me to come with you?"

"You already know the answer to that." Tubs sits beside him and leans onto his shoulder, briefly closing his eyes. "You haven't done much with the group, are you okay?"

"Just missing Aims."

...

The sun is past it's midpoint when we have enough PCs collected to start putting the pieces all into one PC. We head back to the main camping area to put our things down, them currently residing in a blue wagon.

Consequently, the boys have missed their prime napping time and are grumpy as all hell.

"Mommy," Miles whines, "too warm!"

"Baby, would you and Max like to take a little rest with Mommy and Daddy?" I question our boys as we approach the campsite. I really hope they say yes.

"Don't wanna sleep." Miles finalizes.

Sapnap jumps in to save the day, "you don't have to, we just want to lay in our beds and relax a little. If you're tired you can rest but you don't have to." He words it perfectly because he's amazing at this parenting thing. On the other hand, I am not. I have my instincts but I still feel like I'm fucking up all the time.

Maybe it's only outside perspective praise and that's why I see Sappy and feel jealous. Might also be that the kids see him as their dad while I'm just their mom. They respect his word more but come to me when upset about something. I suppose I should be glad about that, it takes a lot of trust and bravery for a child to confide in you.

I should be happy for all I'm worth not what I wish I could be worth. Maybe this is simply how things are supposed to be according to some magical being up above.

"Mama." Max reaches up towards me, whining. "I wanna lay with Mama." Maybe I'm not useless.

"Okay, darling, let's go back to our tent." I pick Max up and take him back to our tent. Miles and Sappy come in a moment later when I already am cuddled into my bed with Max. It's a little warm out but it's a windy day so, with a light blanket, it's perfect napping weather.

Max cuddles into my abdomen and Sappy lays down to spoon me while Miles crawls on top of us, everyone giggling, while he tries to find a spot. Eventually Miles settles down next to Max, all of us cuddling together.

Nick leaves little kisses on my shoulder and neck until my consciousness begins to slip and a comforting darkness consumes me.

...

I wake up warm, body wedged between my boys and Nick. His arms are wrapped securely around my waist and the boys are cuddled into each other beside me. I shift a little and a husky, "hi, baby" is whispered in my ear.

That made my heart flutter.

"Hi, Sappy. The babies are still sleeping."

"I know," he presses a kiss to behind my ear. "Want to go grab something to eat?"

"But if they wake up th-"

"Baby." He presses another kiss but this time to our mating bite. That place always makes my stomach churn in the best way possible. "They'll be okay. We'll check on them every once in a while."

"Will they really be okay?"

"Yessss and I'm hungry, Karl, please come with me." He pouts and I unravel. I can't stand his pout.

We slowly get out of the makeshift bed, both kissing our boys' heads before we go. Grossly enough I can hear soft whines from DNF's tent and everyone else is laughing while sitting around the dead fire. Tubbo and Ranboo are working on the PC while Tommy distracts them.

"Ham and cheese?" Sapnap opens the cooler. "Yeah?"

"I guess so."

"Okay, babe." He pulls the things out and starts making our sandwiches.
