Scott didn't know these people. Heck these people didn't know each other. Scott recognized Clarrissa and Dex, and they recognized each other. But other than occasionally passing each other in the hallways of school nobody knew each other.

Meaning none of them knew Scott was trans, something he never wanted to be outed on. But when he decided to allow his anger to attack Dex, his clothes got shredded. He had taken his hoodie off earlier, so it was safe. But all he was in was a binder and underwear, standing across from Dex who was in nothing.

Everybody staring at the 2 naked boys, Scott could feel his breath leaving him. He was starting to panic, what would people say seeing his binder? Then just as his breath got heavy he was wrapped up in a blanket, with Dex. He couldn't lie that the blanket was comforting, but Dex wasn't.

And that wasn't quite the start of a long journey, but it felt like the start to him. When he started to trust and become friendly with his party members who were stuck here with him.

Then later, when he and Dex weren't ripping each other's clothes off. Dex tried giving Scott transtape. But he let it roll onto the floor, staring at Dex in terror. "HOW DO YOU KNOW!" He shouted, angerly. Dex took a step back, scared. Then tried to comfort the bird man. Once finally getting Scott into a hug, he rubbed his back. Comforting Scott even more, who was breathing heavily.

In the months, heck possibly a year they were there. Scott and Dex got very close. Of course Clarrissa and Preston did as well, but it seemed different than the 2 boy's relationship.

Scott was willing to admit he'd seen Dex naked plenty of times at this point. Since the 2 of them always were forced to share a room by Clarrissa and Preston. But just from the sheer fact Dex was so confident in his body he took off his clothes whenever he got the chance.

But Dex wouldn't ever admit he had seen Scott naked. Despite Scott's best efforts, Dex would always walk in the room at the wrong times. Whether it was after he took a shower, or if he was changing, or putting on fresh trans tape. But Scott basically begged Dex to not mention it ever.

When the boys would be together, Preston and Clarrissa would go off too. Sure Clarissa thought of Dex as funny, and of a friend of course. Preston was her best friend, which was weird to admit. Her friends loved british accents, and would always swoon over british men. She never understood the appeal, she instead thought they sounded stupid, and would just make fun of any british accent she heard. So Preston being a friend was a good change of pace.

She did know Preston a little bit in the real world. Their families have invited each other over for formal parties, and such. But they never really talked at the parties, besides a few forced interactions. And each other would avoid going if they could.

Preston was happy to call Clarissa a friend. He had wanted to be her friend for years, but never was able to. He had his closest chance when he was 12 and she was 13. They were talking, and laughing at each other's jokes. When she was much nicer. But she said she had to go to the bathroom, whether it was a lie or not, she never came back.

The 4 were standing face to face with a doorway. The exit as Marvin called it. It resembled the real world alot. A glowing red 'EXIT' sign posted at the top. They all held hands and stepped through the glowing purple door. Once going through the fog, they found themselves sitting around a table. Game Piece in hand. Scott had an owl man, dex had a catboy, clarrissa had a woman with demon horns, and Preston had an elf. Each of their fingers having their blood below their hands stained into the table. Looking at each other in silence, they were home.
