CHAPTER 11

After a few days of thinking about what Hongjoong asked a few days ago, Jiyeon decided to adopt another child from Happy House. She also wants to give funds to the orphanage.

"Hongjoong." Jiyeon sat next to Hongjoong on the couch in the living room.

Hongjoong looked away from the TV to Jiyeon. "What?"

"I want to adopt another child. What do you think?"

Hongjoong raised an eyebrow. "You are my boss, I have no right to stop you."

"Then... let's go to Happy House this weekend."

Hongjoong just nodded and he went back to watching TV.

The weekend is finally here. Jiyeon and Hongjoong go to Happy House to adopt another child and also donate funds to the orphanage. Yunho and Mingi are sent to Jiyeon's parents' house and they have no idea what their mother will do. Jiyeon will explain everything later.

"Thank you Ms. Jiyeon for donating funds to our orphanage. I really appreciated it." Lee Sooyun, owner of Happy House said.

"You're welcome. I hope the children here get better treatment and their welfare is maintained."

"I'll make sure of that."

"So you want to adopt a child too, right?"

"Yep. My kids are both 5 years old and this time I think I want one around 3 years old."

"Oh sure, Miss, Jiyeon. How about I take you to them. Now it's their time to play. You can see them yourself."

"Okay why not."

Mrs. Lee took them to a place filled with boys who were having fun playing among themselves. Jiyeon spotted a little beautiful boy at the end, playing with a red toy car alone. He seems quiet and shy.

"I seem to like the boy at the other end. That one is playing with a red toy car."

"That's Kang Yeosang. He is quiet and shy. He didn't say much and he is 3 years old."

"I want him."

"Sure but he has a half-brother, Wooyoung. His half-brother is also 3 years old. Yeosang needs Wooyoung all the time. It is quite difficult to separate the two of them."

"So I need to take both of them?"

"It seems so."

"Okay, so which one is Wooyoung?"

"That one in black, playing hula hoop."

Jiyeon nodded slowly. "I wonder their stories."

"Their father cheated and they were born in the same year but Yeosang in June and Wooyoung in November. Yeosang's mom died after giving birth to him without knowing she was cheated on. He was then taken care of by his grandmother temporarily. Meanwhile, Wooyoung's mother committed suicide after killing his father, after knowing she was being cheated on."

Jiyeon gasped, she shocked.

"She couldn't accept the fact that her husband had another child besides Wooyoung. It was a month after Wooyoung was born. Their father's mom, which is their grandmother, couldn't take care of them both so she sent them here when Yeosang was 8 months old and Wooyoung was 3 months old. A month after that their grandmother died."

Their stories make Jiyeon stunned. She really didn't know how to react. How painful what they went through. Hongjoong didn't show any reaction either.

"It hurts me. I will take them and I want to talk to them."
