Marinette felt a hand on her shoulder and she slowly looked up her eyes meeting with familiar teal ones. Luka Couffaine, her close friend from the last year, he had graduated already, but he still came by to check on her every once and a while when he was in town. Marinette looked up and gave Luka a smile, she didn't know why she had gotten a headache all of a sudden, maybe his actions had simply reminded her of someone she used to know, but that didn't matter, she stood up with his help and gave him a wide smile and tight hug, they had dated for a little but it didn't work out since Luka knew she wasn't his soulmate, and he didn't want to keep Marinette from her own soulmate.
Marinette walked with Luka and Bridgette to the limo Luka had arrived in climbing in with him her cousin following shortly after. "Driver go to 1 Cours Victor Hugo, the lycée please." Luka directed before looking at Marinette with a smile. "So, how have you been Mari?" He questioned as he looked to the navy haired girl, she looked slightly out of sorts after the nasty headache that had hit her shortly after his arrival. Marinette smiled at the familiarity in his voice, it was nice to have someone just treat her like a normal person. "I've been good, my soulmate is pretty active at messaging me, apparently he knows me personally, but I have no idea who he is, probably someone from before I can remember." Marinette tried to think back to what exactly had caused her to lose her memory, but couldn't recall the memory which was always really difficult for her.
Marinette smiled catching up with Luka while they drove, they tried to include Bridgette in the conversation but every attempt was met with an eye roll and them just straight up being ignored by the girl who could care less about their conversation. "Hey, Marinette, I was wondering if you would like to do a gig with my band, we have one song that needs female vocals and I thought you might be perfect for it, you would only have to be on stage for one song, then you could join the crowd." Luka simply offered, he however didn't expect the navy haired girl to do readily agree to sing with him and his band. "I'd love to!" Marinette's excited expression warmed Luka's heart, seeing her genuine smile always lit up the room for him, he would easily admit he loved her, but he was letting her go so that she could be happy with her soulmate.
They arrived at the school and Luka handed Marinette the lyrics for her to learn before the gig that evening, it was from a Broadway show, but she was just excited to perform with Luka and his band, it was probably a once and a lifetime experience for her. Her heart may lay in fashion design but dabbling in music was always fun for her. 6 hours later Marinette rushed out of the school and climbed in the limo that Luka was waiting in smiling as they chatted while heading to the gig location. Marinette hadn't even talked to her soulmate the entire day she was so excited.

Adrien, Nino, and Alya had been on the road for a while, they'd stopped and got breakfast before hand of course, and they all got distracted talking about how excited they all were to see Marinette again, to see how she'd changed and matured in the last 4 years, they really had no idea what to expect, especially since Marinette hadn't asked Adrien about any of them since he started messaging with her through the soulmate app, they didn't even know where to find her, all they knew was that they were going under the cover of going to a concert in Orleans for Adriens 18th birthday. They arrived in Orleans and started to walk around the city looking for any sign of Marinette, the trio found a poster for a band playing nearby, they all shrugged and decided it was maybe a good place to try and scope out for Marinette.
"You know since we're here, and we said we're going to a concert may as well." Nino reasoned really just wanting to see who this band was and what their music was being that he wanted to be a future DJ he was interested in all sorts of music to remix. "I could do a report on it for my blog, and who knows, it may be right up Marinette's alley if she's changed at all in the last 4 years." Alya added on as they started to walk to the venue Adrien paying for 3 tickets at the gate, the band seemed fairly popular, though Adrien did catch quite a few eyes from fan girls he just kept his eyes straight ahead, he only had eyes for 1 girl, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
About 20 minutes into the show the Lead guitarist they'd learned was named Luka pulled a familiar looking navy haired girl up on stage. "Everyone, I'd like to welcome a guest singer up on the stage, my close friend, Marinette Dupain." The music started as a familiar voice echoed over the speakers, Alya, Nino, and Adrien all had wide eyes, the band was doing a cover of a song, but it suited her voice, however Adrien was fuming as it looked like Marinette and the guitarist were flirting while she sang. Pushing his way through the crowd to get closer to the stage, he paid his way past the bodyguards. His green eyes met Marinette's blue eyes right at the end of the song, she looked at him not recognizing him at all, if she had she wouldn't have turned around and continued to flirt with the guitarist Adriens eyes narrowed as he glared at Luka, he didn't even know the guy, but he already hated him.
After the song ended, Marinette simply shrugged thanking the crowd and walked off the stage. Adrien pulled his phone out pulling up the soulmate app, trying not to sound angry when he texted Marinette.
