        The Figure

I was on the bus coming home. It was  dark already because I stayed for after school activities. It was pouring rain when I got to Livvy and dad's house. ‘Mom said she was coming today right dad?  Dad looked up from the newspaper, he said ‘ yes be sure to pack up. Skyla won't be home until late, make sure you pack for her too’ 

‘Fine’ I scoffed . I wanted so badly to get out of this place. I loved the city. I didn't want to be with smelly and annoying animals for any second longer. Livvy peeked her head into my room. ‘ don't your dad say you ought to be packin’ for your mama’s.

‘Ugh, do I have to Livvy.’  ‘ Quit your complaining sweet pea, h

ere I'll help,’ Livvy laughed.  She and I packed for about  thirty minutes then we heard a knock on the door. ‘ I wonder if that was Skyla. I'll go check honey,’ said Livvy. Livvy came back about 10 minutes later. ‘It was just a seller comin around, Skyla will be home real soon she just texted your daddy. By the way do you think dad would care if  i made dinner with the last of the milk he brought in?’ 

‘Come on Livvy why do you try acting like my sister all the time, dad wouldn't care, he can go get more in the morning. It's not a big deal. '’  I said,'' Ok, then i'll call you for dinner when it's done love you bryce.’ I finished packing up my stuff, then I went into the living room to watch some TV.

I fell asleep for a little bit to pass the time. I woke up to dad and Skyla arguing, 

. I tell Livvy I'm not hungry and go to my room, I go to my desk to draw, art helps me to calm down. It is something I feel safe and not stressed about when I am doing it.  After i draw for and hour i call mom  ‘Hey mom how are you doing’ i say 

‘I'm doing great, I'm so excited to see you guys. I'm only one hour and thirty minutes away’ what does she mean that she's only an hour and thirty minutes away. “ Mom, dad said that you are in the hospital.”  “What do you mean?” mom says.

           

‘DAD IM NOT STAYING HERE FOR ONE MORE SECONDS IT'S HORRIBLE HERE. ALL MY FRIENDS        

       Chapter 2: Liar

LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY AND I HAVE TO STAY HERE FOR 2 MONTHS ALREADY.’ Skyla sobbed. 

‘ Livvy, please tell Bryce the bad news, 'dad said wearily.  ‘Hey hunni’, we got a call from your mama and she uh she, shen is in the hospital she got into a car crash tonight comin up here so she can't come get y'all in another 2 weeks... But the food is ready, it's you and skyla’s favorite!’ 

Is livvy serious, she thinks that my favorite food will change the fact that my hospital? I have to tell skyla.  Mom says that she's going to rent a hotel room for the night. We hung up the call, I put my phone on the nightstand and I went to my desk to read. Then suddenly the lights turn off. I go out into the living room. “Livvy what happened?” I ask.  “Power outage” livvy replies “Hey livvy Where did dad go?” “hopefully outside to fix the power”
