Chapter 10: A new family!

Izuku's POV
Okay, I was not expecting Eraser to suddenly ask me if I wanted to be adopted by him. Like, what in the world?! I'm a vigilante! And I'm Quirkless on top of that! How could I possibly— How could they want me— I break off, realising that I was muttering to myself.

"Izuku Midoriya, I don't give a sh*t that you're Quirkless. You have definitely proved yourself not to be a burden of any sort and I want to at least let you have a childhood." Eraser looks right into my eyes, red meeting green.

"... But I can take care of myself! I've been doing it for the last four years!" I don't want my freedom to be taken away. And I don't want to trouble Aizawa. He has two kids already plus he's a teacher at UA plus he's an underground hero, I can't add to his load.

"You literally fainted from blood loss a few hours ago!"

"That's just because of the guy's Quirk! And you were chasing me!" I shot back.

"No."

"But I—"

"No."

"I'm fine by mys—"

"No."

"Aw come on. There's no way out of this, right?"

"Nope." Eraser— I mean, Aizawa, has his sh*t-eating grin on.

"*sigh*"

"You're not allowed to sigh. It sounds wrong when you do."

"And you are?"

"Yes."

"*louder, forceful sigh*"

Aizawa's POV
I finally got Problem Child to come back home with me. Before he woke up, Nezu already gave me the adoption papers. Zashi, (HELP MY KEYBOARD CORRECTED ZASHI TO SASHIMI—) Eri and Toshi already know about him being a part of our family. I told Zashi about him being Kurai, but I didn't tell Toshi or Eri about his vigilante work yet. I feel like Toshi seemed surprised and worried when I told them, but maybe it's just my imagination.

Izuku's POV
We're finally at Aizawa's house. I did some extra... research... on my phone during the car ride. Shouta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada, fathers of Eri and Hitoshi Yamazawa. They adopted Hitoshi at 12, two years ago, because of his abusive household. His Quirk is Brainwash, and it's considered as a 'villainous' Quirk. They adopted Eri at 6, a few months ago, because Kurai (me) saved her from a Yakuza ring. Her Quirk is Rewind, and she's making good progress on controlling her Quirk. I shut off my phone and delete all traces of my hacking while stepping out of the car.

"Eri, Toshi, Zashi. This is Izuku Midoriya. Izuku, this is Eri, Hitoshi and Hizashi." Aizawa deadpanned.

"HEY LITTLE LISTENER! IT'S GOOD TO HAVE YOU WITH US!" Mic yelled as I winced. Although Aizawa erased his Quirk, he's still really loud and well... I've been living alone for the past four years! The loudest sound I have probably heard during that time frame is either Endeavour yelling at me or a kid crying! Plus I have heightened senses due to my vigilante work!

Aizawa notices and glares at Zashi. A small, unnoticeable (but not to me) "oops" comes out of his mouth.

"Hello, I'm glad to be living with you all. Thank you for taking me in." I say politely.

"It's Kurai-san!" Eraser's, Mic's and my eyebrows go up. "How did you know, Eri?" Aizawa squats down to ask Eri.

"You turned off that weird mask thingy when you kneeled down to speak with me! Thank you for saving me!" Rrrrright, I did do that. I totally forgot. I look up, seeing Hitoshi trying and pretty much failing to conceal his stunned expression.

Seeing that he's going to spill that we know each other at any second now, I secretly sign to Hitoshi to bring me somewhere without the rest of them. "Dad, Pops, I'll bring him around the house." Hitoshi says.

Hitoshi brings me to my new room, and locks the door behind us. "How'd you get caught?!" He hissed at me.

<Use sign, I can feel Aizawa's presence.> I signed. I taught Hitoshi ASL for fun last time.

<Ok, so how'd you get caught?>

<Well, idiot shows up, stabs me, I can't staunch the bleeding because of his Quirk, and then your dad starts chasing me. I faint of blood loss, your dad brings me to UA, and now here we are.>

*sigh* <Okay. Don't tell me you're planning to escape.>

<Hitoshi, I can't just depend on your family. I am going to escape. I've been living like this for years now.>

"That's the f*cking point! You need to depend on people sometimes!" Hitoshi bursts out.

"And be a burden to your family? No thanks!" I shoot back, completely forgetting that Aizawa's eavesdropping on this whole thing.

"Izuku! You've been living alone without support for years—"

"And I can do it for longer!"

"NO! Just listen to me, Izuku! Stay." Hitoshi looks dead serious. "Or I will personally find that bunker that you lived in and torch it myself."

"Then I'd just go to an abandoned building. There are tons around here."

"IZUKU! Are you even listening to yourself?!"

"Yes and I've been surviving like this for four to five years now so don't try to stop me!"

"That's it, Izuku. You've been f*cking surviving. Not living. You are a 14-year-old teenager and you f*cking DESERVE to have a home!!"

"But I—"

Aizawa's POV
I'm outside Toshi's room eavesdropping when the two of them start yelling at each other. Apparently, from what I can hear, Toshi knows Izuku and knew that he was living by himself. I open the door. He must have been preoccupied arguing with Toshi because he jolted and whirled around at the sound.

"Right... I forgot you were eavesdropping." Izuku deadpans. Wait, he knew I was there? I was erasing my presence really well!

"So, how do you two know each other?"

"Well..."
