EPILOGUE (i) THE WAY OUT

P.O.V THE QUEEN MOTHER

As i was given the crying bundle , i instantly knew that i had to protect her and make sure that she left the palace unharmed. i knew from that moment she would make a great protector of the Order and a great Queen but she couldn't be those things if she stayed in this evil infested and unmoral place. she had to leave before they sinked their claws into her and made her into a weapon of distraction like they did to some members of the Order.

"Sara please go and fetch my cousin" i whispered as i tried to calm my angel down. i would have summoned my cousin myself but i have been drained of my powers and i could not perform one descent spell. i would never forgive Rava for the curse he put on me and for the b...

"My Queen you called for me " my only loyal and trustworthy family member bowed before my bed. "get up cousin , i would not like us to waste time on formalities. i have come to a decision that you will be the princess guardian for when she leaves this dreadful place." i said as i tried to get out of the bed. by than the baby had already fallen asleep. "But my queen ..." i disturb him before he can finish " i know i know. you have no such powers to protect a princess nor do you have the powers to protect even yourself but you are the only person i trust now. it will not be easy and it will sometimes require you to risk your life but i would forever be in your debit if you do this for me. i beg of you to consider this offer. when you come back with the princess , she will be strong enough to defeat Rava and she will rule fairly and you , my dear cousin, will be a well respected and honored man"

" but my Queen you know that if i fail i shell never be able to redeem my honour and also my family's honour. i shall be called the bastard child who not only failed his father but also his kingdom. i do not want to go thorough that again. please my Queen forgive me but i can not comply to your request"

Right than an idea hit me as i watched my dearest cousin bow his head in shame "cousin you must know that i can give you the power you require to be able to protect my child." i waited a little while for the idea to sink in. he whipped his head towards me and that told me he knew what i had in mind " no no no! You mustn't do that. Please I beg of you my queen don't do it. It's dangerous. Your risking your life. You can't use you your reserved energy. There must be another way.''

''You right it is dangerous but it's the only way to protect my child , the kingdoms future and the only key to defeating Rava'' I say as I look for the key to the forbidden chamber, my father's secret library. ''Follow me dear cousin. We must hurry. My fathers library is located in the west wing of this castle and it is the most guarded.''i say as I grab my cape

"How are we gonna get the"my cousin asks as he follow me out of the room. " I know a secret passage that's gonna get us the"

I opened the secret door behind my vanity desk. It took a lot of work to move it but at the end it move with a little help from my cousin of cause.

"I remember when I was young and my powers had not surfaced yet. I was to walk blindly here so I could sneak on my father" I said as I found the marking on the right side of the wall "I used these marking to find my way to the library "

We continued for what felt like hours but was only 20 minutes and the only sign that my cousin was still with me was the sound of his footsteps

"We will be there soon" I said as I felt the cuts on the wall getting shorter and shorter , indicating that we were getting closer.

When I could not feel the marking anymore I come to a halt and my cousin bumped into me resulting in him falling on his behind. Getting up he showered me with apologises that I waved off. I felt the wall for the opening pushing it when I found it I walked into a room that once help happy memories.

"How did the guards not find the passage like they did to the other ones." William asked as he followed behind me.

"I have no idea. When I suggested that we come here I expected guards to swam this place" I answered truthfully as I went to the center ofthe room. Beckoning William forward he looked at me weirdly

"Oh just take my hand will you we don't have much time I will explain later" I said as I grabbed his hand and recited words that my father taught me. Soon we were in a room but not just any room but the life source room. Around the room were orbs forming a circle around the center, some were darkened by greed and hatred manifested by Rava and his ways and some of the orbs were still in there purist colour and some were tinted with evil

Dragging William along we walked to the hexagon in the center.

"We don't have to do this. Please my queen we can find another way"

"There is no other way William. I have to protect her even if it cost me my life now. Focus William "

Focusing on two orbs, William's and mine , I called them forth and soon they were going around us. I could feel my life source sipping into William's orb. My orb was becoming dim with each revolution the orbs took. With one revolution the orbs came to a standstill and I came crashing to the floor but William caught me before I could make contact with the floor.

"Keep her save for me"

I didn't hear his reply before I slipped into a void of dark and empty nothingness
