Aizawa's POV
After Toshi pays up the swearing dollars, I tell him to go to his room. He nods and leaves Izuku alone with me.

"So, Izuku, I know you have a lot of... past experiences. Would you like to share with me?" He flinches, knowing that I mean his possibly wrist-related trauma.

"I... no."

"Izuku, this is for your own good. Why don't you start by sharing with me about your wrists?" Even right now, he's clutching his wrists from anxiety. I don't think he's doing it consciously, he's reflexively scared. Maybe it's a desperate attempt to protect his wrists?

"I... After my mom died, I was sent to an orphanage. The caretaker there would... torture me... make me do all the work... coz I'm Quirkless..."

Looks like I have an orphanage to burn down.

"And she would... She'd always whip or cut my wrists... And she made me put on really tight metal cuffs." Izuku seems hesitant, maybe a bit scared. I decide not to push further. As I drop the subject, I find myself wondering about his behaviour. Sassy and daring one second, traumatised and pained the next. Is his jokes and confidence all a facade?

Izuku's POV
As Aizawa leaves the room after telling me to go to sleep, I make sure that he's completely gone before I stand up and grab my vigilante suit, silently changing into it. Did he seriously think I'd give up patrol? No way! I've been gone from the streets for one night now thanks to that injury, I don't plan on making my absence longer. Yeeting myself out of the window, I dash into the night.

Shinsou's POV
From my room, I heard what Izuku told Dad. I really want to commit arson to whichever orphanage which Izuku was in. But first, I'm going to comfort my brother. He sounded so... so vulnerable just now. A stark difference from his usual attitude.

But when I get to his room, he's not there. And the window's open.

"Dammit, Izuku!"

Izuku's POV
Okay, so unless I wanted to get grounded by Aizawa for life, I better avoid him. And for that matter, every other hero and police officer. Not too hard, right? I weave in and out of alleys, knocking out villains, tying them up... Just the usual work.

-Timeskip brought to you by Izuku somehow not getting found by any pro-hero or anyone else-

I get back at around 5am. I go in through the window and I find an angry Hitoshi and Aizawa in my room.

"Umm... Anything wrong?" Oops, I think I'm busted.

"Toshi told me that a certain somebody wasn't in his room and the window was open." Hitoshi, you snitch! "And despite running around my patrol route and even outside of it, I didn't find you. Now what were you doing, Problem Child?"

"I umm... yes?" I feel kind of sheepish, maybe because of the fact that I escaped their house just to go and do vigilante stuff. In my defence, if I didn't sneak out, I would've been sleeping, and sleeping is sooo overrated. I don't need any for two to three days, and I slept yesterday!

"*sigh* why does this not surprise me..." Coz it shouldn't, caterpillar! I am literally the most prominent vigilante around here and that's not gonna change just coz you found out that I'm fourteen!

"Fine, you can have your patrols, but I want you to stick with me." Before I can open my mouth to protest, he glares at me and I know this is non-negotiable. "At all times."

"Fine..." I mutter. At least I can do my vigilante activities with Aizawa.

"And also, you have to get into the UA Hero course. I won't allow your vigilante work otherwise. After you get a real hero license, you stop doing your vigilante work and switch to hero work."

"But that's basically taking away my freedom as a vigilante! I won't be able to search or raid villain organisations without a permit or warrant, and I can't do some morally questionable stuff!"

"Like what?"

"Ummmmm nothing just a tiny bit of hacking into UA and maybe the hero commission for fun... Also you should really tell Nezu to strengthen the hacking deterrents, it's not really that complicated. But I didn't do anything bad with the info inside! I just went in and out!"

"*sigh* it's way too early for this. And Izuku, I want you to be on the right side of the law. Even if you haven't broken any laws yet, or at least what the police can find, but I'd still like for you to be a legal hero."

"Fine, but I'm not dealing with the media."

"None of us are, you know how they're like beasts." Hitoshi butted in.

"But I'm making sure you have enough sleep." Aizawa pointed out. "It's 5am in the morning and you haven't slept the whole night."

"Speak for yourself!"

Sorry if this chapter feel weird/cringe/filler, I'll make it up to y'all in the next chapter. I swear it'll be longer and more exciting (hopefully). Till then, bear with me.
