I stood in front of the burnt down Manor as memories of the past ran through my mind. I remembered the look of betrayal on Dracula's face as Van Helsing saved me from my faith. The memory of Dracula brought sorrow to my heart. Everything about him made me miss him except for certain aspects...

The way he treated people was sickening. He used them to get what he wanted, even if it killed them. Though a part of me admired him for it. Not because of his selfish desires, but because he did it all for me. It is like that special saying, A hero would sacrifice you to save the world, but a villain would sacrifice the world to save you.

I slowly made my up the stairs of the burnt down building as a cold chill ran down my spine. I turned around to gaze one last time at the outside world before walking into the darkness. Everything about the place made me want to run, but my curiosity was stronger than the voices telling me to stay away.

The Manor seemed empty and deserted, but once I walked into Dracula's old bedroom, I was met with a pale old man. He stared out the window whilst admiring the falling rain before turning his gaze to me. "Mio Cara?" He whispered with a shocked expression. "Dracula?" I questioned with a lifted brow as he nodded his head in shame. "It is indeed, I." He responded before standing up from the chair in the corner.

"I thought you're dead?"

"Dragă, I think you sometimes forget who I am." He replied whilst making his way slowly towards me. I backed up slightly before he stopped in his tracks. "You're still afraid of me?" He whispered with a smirk on his face. "Well, you tried turning me into a vampire. So don't you think it's appropriate to act this way?"

"Hm." He responded before his eyes met mine. They were red from hunger and desire as my blood ran cold. My gaze turned to the open door as Dracula gave me an understanding look. He knew I wanted to run and tried to leap towards me.

I luckily dodged him and ran towards the exit as he crawled on the wall of the burned down building. He was fast as expected, but not fast enough. Once I opened the door, he hissed in pain whilst retreating back to the shadows.

An insane laugh erupted from his chest before his red eyes met mine. "I'll find you, Mio Cara. You just wait, and deep down, you know you love me. The way your heart beats isn't from being scared. It's excitement, longing, and craving."

"And how do you know that?"

"Because why would you return to me?" He smirked before I closed the front door on him. 'He is still the same, Dracula.' I sighed whilst walking up to my horse Salem. "Let's get out of her, old man." I whispered before climbing on top of the saddle.
